  • Saint Anselm College Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament : Saint Anselm College
    Since its founding in 1990 the Saint Anselm College Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament has raised over 1 000 000 for scholarship aid thanks to the continued generosity of participating alumni friends and businesses Following each year s outing all golfers are invited to a reception to express our gratitude and to show them the impact of their generosity In 2016 the tournament will take place during Reunion Weekend so our golfers will be able to reunite with fellow alumni and friends on campus to celebrate the past while also supporting the future of the college and our students Each year tournament participants learn about the crucial importance of gifts to Anselmian Scholarships as they meet and hear from student scholarship recipients One of those students Tim Grossman 15 a finance major from Medfield Mass spoke during last year s reception During my time at Saint Anselm I ve been a member of the varsity golf team an intern in College Advancement and fortunately enough an annual scholarship recipient In each of these ways I ve witnessed firsthand the power of your generosity and I d just like to say thank you again for supporting The Saint Anselm Fund through the Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament In addition to the fact that every golfer s registration fee includes a gift to The Saint Anselm Fund the tournament relies upon the generosity of sponsors to maximize the event s overall financial impact Sponsorship levels range from a tee or green sponsorship starting at 500 to a tournament sponsorship starting at 10 000 At every level our sponsors provide crucial funds that support numerous deserving students every year View photos from the 2015 tournament which raised over 50 000 for scholarships Registration Online registration will be available in the months leading up to the

    Site The Saint Anselm College internship program emphasizes professional development while supporting the student s liberal arts curriculum The program offers students the opportunity to learn about the workplace and how community organizations function In turn community agencies companies and organizations are supported by the skills and enthusiasm of bright and industrious students Currently the internship program partners with scores of local and national agencies and organizations to provide students with outstanding professional experiences while supporting the objectives and productivity of the agencies with competent personnel Although interns are not employees and it is understood they are working in a learning capacity many agencies have benefited both fiscally and administratively from the additional knowledge creativity and support provided by students Forms Agency Agreement Policies Word 60KB Agency Site Description Form Word 48KB Internships Allow Students To Explore career options Build networks Enhance resumes Develop and practice professional behavior skills Learn the etiquette language and current technology trends in a given field Discover more about themselves and the world around them Enhancing Your Office with Interns Assist office personnel with tasks Create marketing tools brochures displays Research projects Provide new ideas to improve administration Identify grants funding sources Prepare newsletters And much more Organization The academic department in concert with the Dean of the College and the Registrar is to determine how many courses the internship program replaces For students interning through the Academic Internship Office receiving Economics and Business credit 140 to 160 hours are required for a four credit internship and 280 to 320 hours are required for an eight credit internship Students participating in an internship through the Academic Internship Office will attend a bi weekly seminar which serves as the reflective component of the internship program Some type of academic requirement i e papers required readings seminar
