    of senior faculty members chosen by the Deans at the invitation of the Provost The Faculty Technology Advisory Board helps the University better understand the technology priorities of the faculty Download a PDF of Advisory Board membership The Faculty Technology Focus Group is also composed of faculty members chosen by the Deans at the invitation of the Provost The Faculty Technology Focus Group helps the University Technology Office evaluate new technology initiatives and ensure usability and continuous improvement Download a PDF of Focus Group membership IT Leadership Council Council Description Mission The University Technology Office Information Technology IT Leadership Council is an advisory group established to provide guidance and vision to the Chief Information Officer CIO about technology investments future directions and advancements in technology and effective use and application of information technologies on the Arizona State University campuses Reporting Structure Advisory to the Chief Information Officer Responsibilities The IT Leadership Council will provide insight and expertise on how the use of technology is benefiting the University and make recommendations to the CIO on where to invest UTO resources toward advances in technology to support the business and acadamic applications for the University The IT Leadership Council will be an active participant in setting direction with UTO by supporting and communicating technology change and advancements across university departments collaborating on software and hardware licensing models partnerships with vendors and other strategic enterprise wide initiatives that benefit ASU providing input into the IT Strategic Plan providing feedback and evaluative data on technologies that are successful and areas that are challenged and need improvement providing feedback and assessment on overall performance of UTO as an innovative solutions provider and support organization and providing vision and leadership for IT investments funding strategies and policy recommendations to University executive management Additionally the Council may be asked to sponsor or champion initiatives as opportunities for growth and change adopt emerging trends and participate as partners embracing change and serving as extended members of the UTO unit Communication Meeting agendas and all documents produced for the purpose of the council can be found here Members can email each other using the following distribution list DL WG ASU ITLeadershipCouncil Questions and suggestions should be emailed directly to Deborah Whitten UTO Assistant Vice President for IT Planning and Programs or by calling 480 727 0050 Meetings IT Leadership Council meetings will be held every other month for a minimum of one hour some meetings may be longer depending on the topics being discussed An agenda will be sent out to all members prior to each month s meeting and topics for next month s meeting will be solicited from the group at the end of each meeting Minutes from the previous meeting will be approved at the beginning of each meeting July 2012 March 2012 January 2012 September 2011 Membership Members of the IT Leadership Council are selected based on the knowledge skill and expertise they bring to the group and not all ASU business areas will be

    a Master of Science in Information Management MSIM in 2012 Prior to that Fernando obtained a Bachelor s Degree in Technical Management and an Associate s Degree in Computer Technology from DeVry University Before becoming part of the PPMO team Fernando was an IT Project Manager at Wells Fargo for two years and the Lead Software Developer and Project Manager at Jobing com for four years Previous to that Fernando helped grow the technology at Cosmopolitan Medical Communications a medical answering service as a Systems Analyst for 6 years Congratulations Fernando What s New in Operations We would like to welcome Jamie Ell to CARE Jamie is working as a Systems Support Specialist He has been at ASU since 2007 as a student at W P Carey majoring in Computer Information Systems Jamie worked as Technology Consultant for University Common Computing UTO servicing classrooms and computer labs and then became a Hybrid Web Developer to aid in the transition of our websites to Drupal In Jamie s new position he will provide support for staff and faculty in configuring and troubleshooting ASU hardware and software and performing routine maintenance Before Jamie s new position at UTO he worked at GoDaddy as a Technical Sales and Support Representative and at Chase Bank as a Loss Mitigation Specialist Welcome Jamie Please welcome Clint Shuman Clint is working as a Systems Support Specialist He is a computer science major has been a student worker in Business Technology Services since July 2012 Before working at ASU Clint was employed at J Curve Technologies doing now What s new in Operations We would like to welcome Robert Bruce to the Tempe Campus UTO Deskside Team He started working at ASU in spring of 2011 as a student worker for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences providing IT support for the Dean s office Bruce will graduate this semester with a BS in Computer Information Systems Over the years he has acquired more than three years in IT support and consulting experience while working with the university and other IT industry giants such as Intel Bruce s new position will consist of providing system support and exceptional customer service on behalf of UTO for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences mainly out of the COOR and Dean s office areas Congratulations Bruce We would like to welcome Daniel Delgadillo to the West Campus UTO Deskside Team Daniel joined UTO as a Systems Support Specialist beginning November 5 He recently returned to Phoenix after serving in the Peace Corps in Kenya While in the Peace Corps Daniel taught computer skills and provided technical support for the North Eastern Province Technical Training Institute Formerly a student worker at ASU before joining the Peace Corps Daniel is happy to be back at ASU where he will be providing deskside support to faculty and staff at the West campus Welcome home and congratulations Daniel Congratulations to John Wilson John has been promoted to Director Tempe Deskside and Care Support Before joining ASU in October 1997 John was the sole in house computer tech at Pulte Homes SW regional office developing custom databases and business intelligence reports Before his employment with Pulte he was a co owner of Changing Hands Bookstore for five years John joined ASU at the West campus as a Deskside Support Tech and the West Campus Webmaster Since then he has leveraged group process mediation and communication experience towards concierge customer service and database experience into the CARE ticket reporting expert In addition to tech support he volunteered with the West Campus Environment Team for several years one as chair and as one of ASU s ombudspeople In July of this year he migrated to the Tempe campus bringing his interest in quality customer service team building and a passion for communication to his new role A few staff changes at DPC We would like to welcome Nicole Corio and Mike Kelly to the UTO Care Classroom Support Team at
