  • Well Devil Coalition | Educational Outreach and Student Services
    integral component of the ASU experience Promotes an ASU environment that supports health and wellness Advocates for policies in support of student health and wellness The Well Devil Council Core Membership Includes Elected representatives from each campus Downtown Phoenix Polytechnic Tempe and West with rotating chair responsibilities Set goals and determine outcomes for the Well Devil Initiative Provide leadership on their respective campuses to accomplish university wide the goals established by the WDC Appoint directors for each wellness dimension communication and marketing and sponsorship coordination Chair biweekly meetings on a rotating basis Secretary Records distributes and maintains an ongoing record of meeting minutes Coordinates organizational communications Directors for the Wellness Dimensions Recommend and coordinate approved initiatives programs and services within the wellness dimension assigned Recruit volunteers to serve on work groups to develop and implement action plans Assist with evaluation of programs services and outcomes Director of Marketing and Communication Recommends and coordinates development of messages and promotions communications and symbols used within the Well Devil Initiative Assists with evaluation of message delivery and success Director of Sponsorship Recommends and coordinates relationships with potential sponsors and partnerships Project managers Plan develop and implement activities based on initiatives programs and services recommended by the WDC Assist Marketing and Communications Director with marketing efforts Campus Well Devil Organization Leadership Well Devil Organizations are being formed at each campus as student involvement grows These organizations are the heart of the Well Devil Council on their campus making recommendations through their campus representatives and carrying out new initiatives programs and policies Student Organization Liaisons Student organizations with a focus on health and wellness are invited to send members to represent their organization at the Well Devil Council meetings in order to share information about their plans and to join together to achieve common goals

    apply The program is open to rising 9th grade students entering high school in Fall 2013 and their families in participating high school districts Is the program open to everyone Students interested in higher education should register Students need to be enrolled in one of the following schools districts ASU Preparatory Academies Phoenix Union High School District Mesa Public Schools Tempe Union High School District Tolleson Union High School District Students will be considered only if they submit a complete application Students not in participating districts can attend workshops at one of the ASU Preparatory Academies What are the participation requirements Students and families are expected to commit to the program by attending workshops participating in activities and supporting their student s pursuit of a university education Is there any cost There is no cost to the students and family How long does each workshop last Each FSDF workshop will be 2 hours in length Is parent participation mandatory No but it is highly encouraged Future Sun Devil Families workshops are designed for parents or guardians and students to co learn side by side in the workshop setting Who will be assisting students and families at the workshops Each workshop is led by a facilitator who has been trained on workshop content and critical information specific to 9th grade Will there be opportunity for participating students and families to network with each other There will be opportunities to get to know each other and learn about all the students career objectives throughout the programming year We are unable to make it to one of the sessions is there opportunity to retake the session in another school or make up session Yes Program participants may attend a make up workshop at another Future Sun Devil Families site in the Valley if
