    to add texture and context to what the students learn in the classroom We want to share the collective wisdom of people who have been in the professional world for 20 years or more successes and failures Joseph Brocato Director Executive Partners Program I have had the great pleasure to be a Cal Poly Student as well as a member of Orfalea College of Business Faculty punctuated by a lifetime of industry experience My greatest pleasure of all is to see the happiness on a student s face after successfully landing a dream job and knowing that I played a small part in their success WOW Jim Valdez As a mentor I learned quickly that we are in a role model relationship If a student sees value it s the beginning of a true win win The longer the mentoring relationship the more meaningful result To have an influence on someone s life and career is a real payoff Our contribution has proven to me anything is possible The bonus is when the student articulates their gratitude for what we do Honored to be part of the process Bob Dunn I always knew I wanted to work with cars after college but did not know how to become employed in that industry I was fortunate to partner with Volkswagen s Mr Bob Dunn whose teachings of networking Features Tell Benefits Sell and invaluable career insights helped me achieve an internship at Porsche Executive Partners is the perfect complement to one s college experience to prepare for the professional world Sam Cates I wanted to take what I learned in the classroom and discuss it with someone who s been in the field I like to hear about people s experiences and see how I might apply them to my life
