  • Executive Director of Development — Carthage News — Carthage College
    the upcoming comprehensive campaign including managing enlistment training motivation support and recognition of 75 to 150 volunteers The Executive Director will provide administrative and management support to the Senior Vice President and campaign co chairs in addition to maintaining a portfolio of donor prospects many of whom will serve as campaign volunteers Requirements include a bachelor s degree from an accredited four year college or university 10 years of experience in fundraising major gift experience comprehensive campaign experience in a college setting ability to motivate volunteers as well as donors and willingness to travel regionally and nationally Founded in 1847 Carthage is situated on the shore of Lake Michigan midway between Milwaukee and Chicago and offers quick urban access from the relaxed environment of a small city Responsibilities Provides management support for comprehensive campaign with primary focus on building campaign volunteer network Provides strategic advice and support in developing and implementing capital campaign strategies Maintains a portfolio of 35 to 50 major gift prospects Assists the Senior Vice President in providing direction and oversight for the major gift fund raising staff and related programs Assists in preparation of campaign reports and campaign budget oversight Qualifications Bachelor s degree At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in front line fundraising and strong working knowledge of industry best practices with regard to comprehensive campaigns Demonstrated experience and ability to meet or exceed fundraising objectives with a proven track record in successfully leading self and others to achieve ambitious goals Excellent interpersonal skills including persuasiveness and ability to establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the organization and with outside constituencies Extensive experience with campaign volunteers Computer and information technology proficiency is essential as are strong oral and written communication skills Willingness to travel both regionally and nationally Send resume letter of
