  • Endowment — Give — Carthage College
    contributions from friends of Carthage will be professionally managed with the intention of aiding the College in perpetuity The Endowment supports student scholarships curricular and co curricular programs A gift to the endowment helps both current students and those who will be here 50 or 100 years from now Endowments can be established through current gifts of cash stock or real estate or planned gifts such as charitable trusts charitable gift annuities life insurance or bequests At Carthage when contributions to an endowed scholarship fund reach 25 000 it is considered fully funded Carthage uses income generated from an endowed fund to meet the wishes of the donor s as described in a written agreement Administration of the fund is the responsibility of Carthage s Office of College Relations A donor may make additions to an endowed fund at any time Such additions shall be made subject to the provisions of the endowment fund agreement If at some time the purposes of an endowed fund cease to exist the fund then may be redirected at the discretion of the Trustees of the College In such a case special consideration is given to the original intent expressed in this agreement Learn

    and Wisconsin one of the nation s strongest Division III leagues the Red Men are second in the all time standings winning or sharing 12 regular season titles During Augie Schmidt s 25 years as coach the Red Men have maintained a remarkable level of consistency making 18 NCAA appearances in 20 seasons and have reached the NCAA Division III championships seven times Coach Schmidt has been named CCIW coach of the year 10 times and is a nine time Division III regional coach of the year Those who built that impressive tradition and those who cherish the way the Red Men have played the game have given future Carthage teams a home field worthy of those who played before them In the summer of 2012 the College invested 2 4 million to bring the field to the level of the best CCIW facilities Improvements now allow Carthage to host NCAA Division III games high school tournament competition and American Legion baseball New artificial turf similar to that installed at Art Keller Field as well as drainage improvements permit the Red Men to practice more frequently on the field and allow games to resume sooner on rainy days Other visible
