    click on Wireless Network Connection Select Properties from the menu Click on the Wireless Networks tab Click on the Add button Type in the Network name SSID given to you by the Hedberg Library Information Desk In the Data Encryption box click the entry for Disabled Click on the Ok button The wireless setting will start working in about 38 seconds as the connection is confirmed Macintosh To check your settings for an AirPort connection follow these steps Click the AirPort icon in the menu bar Select other from the menu Type in the Network name SSID given to you by the Hedberg Library Information Desk Click on the Ok button The wireless setting will start working in about 38 seconds as the connection is confirmed Registering your devices NetReg is the system we use to register computers You must register all devices you want to connect to the wireless in order to use them in the residence halls To register your computer connect to wifi resnet while in the residence hall Open a browser and you ll find you are immediately sent to the NetReg page Follow the instructions on the page Once you get to the registration completed page completely shut your device down wait 15 minutes then turn it back on Your device should be registered You may get stuck in the infinite loop of NetReg in which you are told Symantec is not updated when it actually is Things to try Clear the browsing history and reopen the browser Check the browser being used If it is Internet Explorer try netreg on a different browser Chrome and Firefox are both available for free download You will be asked to enter your Novell password and username to register Your username is your first initial plus last name

    Your Carthage email address is your Carthage username followed by carthage edu Carthage uses Google Apps for Education for email service Interacting with Carthage email is essentially identical to interacting with Gmail Google s public email service It is possible to reach two Google login pages for email In one instance the login page knows you are trying to log into Carthage s Google Apps space and you only need to enter your Carthage username without the carthage edu If carthage edu is displayed on the page you do not need to enter it In the other instance you can use Google s more generic login page in which case you would enter your entire Carthage email address including the carthage edu Your Carthage email password can be managed via Carthage s password manager https password carthage edu Whenever you change your Carthage password via the password manager your password will also change for your Carthage Google email account Novell drives Netstorage In your web browser go to http netstorage carthage edu NetStorage Login with your Novell user id and password You may need to use your fully qualified name which is in the format username group carthage Note that there is a period at the beginning but not at the end For example the full name for a student named jevans would be jevans student carthage Once logged in you ll note a list of available drives in the left panel Click on one to open it The folders should then appear in the right larger panel Use the File menu above the right panel to Upload and Download files Close the browser window when you are finished Admissions account If you have lost the password to your Carthage admissions application please visit www carthage edu apply and use
