    performance of Train Tower with a donated Long Island Rail Road train at the festival grounds in Bridgehampton Long Island The event was covered by The New York Times National Public Radio and the BBC Performances of Professor Petering s music have taken place across the United States in Turkey and Eastern Europe His acoustic works have been played by the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra Czech National Symphony Atlantic Chamber Orchestra Milwaukee Chamber Orchestra and University of Minnesota Wind Ensemble and have been presented at the Washington Island and Aspen Music Festivals as well as the Music Festival of the Hamptons His electronic compositions have been heard in Istanbul Bucharest Brooklyn New York City Minnesota and Ohio Commissions for his work have come from organizations such as the Milwaukee Chamber Orchestra Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra League Washington Island Music Festival PieperPower Foundation and individuals including first violinist of the Philadelphia Orchestra Jason De Pue Metropolitan Opera mezzo soprano Malin Fritz and pianist Jacob Surdell Professor Petering s music is recorded on the Albany Capstone and Zebrina Records labels He has served as guest composer of the Washington Island Music Festival and has participated in the

  • Biography — Michael Phegley — Carthage College
    a practice that concentrates on family criminal labor and employment law as well as alternative dispute resolution He is the municipal judge for the Village of Mount Pleasant in Racine County and also serves as a Judicial Court Commissioner for Racine County presiding over hearings involving juvenile probate criminal traffic and civil law matters He is a certified mediator and previously served on the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee for the State Bar of Wisconsin Professor Phegley is the faculty advisor for the Carthage Mock Trial Team and the Phi Alpha Delta Pre Law Fraternity He teaches Legal Environment of Business Business Law for Accountants and Mock Trial In 2010 he led the Carthage Mock Trial team to its first appearance at the national Mock Trial competition He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and a member and past president of the Racine County Bar Association He is the president of the board of directors for the University of Wisconsin Parkside Alumni Association and the vice chair of the board of directors for St Catherine s High School in Racine Wis in addition to his involvement with other community service organizations He earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from

    for the position Professor Phegley also maintains a private law practice serves as a Judicial Court Commissioner for Racine County and is a past president of the Racine County Bar Association Spring 2010 The 2009 2010 Carthage Mock Trial team competed in a national tournament in March 2010 Professor Phegley is the faculty advisor and instructor for the team which meets as a course every fall This was the team s first appearance in the American Mock Trial Association s National Intercollegiate Tournament The finished 3 5 in the tournament after earning a bid to the national competition after a strong showing in February s regional tournament in Milwaukee The national tournament was held in St Paul Minn Read more Summer 2010 Michael Phegley lectured on Grandparent Rights and Child Advocacy at the Milwaukee County Bar Association s Continuing Legal Education Seminar on June 25 Professor Phegley was trial counsel for Michael and Mary Rick in Rick vs Opichka The Wisconsin Court of Appeals affirmed the trial court s award of substantial visitation rights to the Ricks with their grandchildren following their mother s death The case encompassed a number of issues including constitutional challenges raised by the father to
