    pages should be printed per person per day Keep in mind that if there are no computers available at the library you may use the Open Computer Lab located in the Science and Technology building room 4114 You may also print for free at the Open Lab Seven additional computer terminals located next to the reference desk are dedicated to searching the Library s online catalog B VR PAC One other terminal is attached to a scanner which can be used for free to create image files and pdf documents Please note that these computers are NOT connected to a printer A black and white photocopy machine is located beyond the circulation desk copies are 10 cents a page and the machine provides change for bills up to 5 The Library does not own a color printer or a fax machine The electronic classroom room 9 204 with 35 networked computers a printer a multimedia instructor workstation lectern and projector is used for library instruction sessions and for placement testing Getting a Library Card Library cards are required to check out materials including electronic books Application for a library card can be made at the Customer Service desk A photo ID or other proof of residence or student status is required Beaver County Library System cards issued at the public libraries are accepted at CCBC Library and vice versa Borrowing materials Books audiobooks e books videos and DVDs can be checked out for two weeks they can be renewed provided no one else has placed a hold in other words if no one is waiting for the item to be returned If a book is checked out to another user you may place your name on a waiting list by clicking the Request link that appears on the book record page and entering your information You will be notified by phone or email when the item is returned to the Library Holds can also be placed on items that belong to Beaver County Library System libraries Those items will be delivered to the library of your choice usually within two business days Renewing checked out materials You may view the list of items you have borrowed and renew your items online through B VR PAC the library online catalog click here for directions Phone renewals can also be made by calling the Customer Service desk at 724 480 3442 Voice mails and email messages cannot be accepted for this purpose Fines and fees Items returned after the due date are subject to a fine of 20 cents per day per item except for DVDs which carry a 1 00 fine per day Users who owe more than 5 00 in fines will have borrowing privileges suspended until payment is made At the end of each semester students who still have a balance will not have their grades released by the Registrar until all library dues are paid Reserve materials Instructional items are sometimes placed on reserve for use of students

    PROGRAMS CCBC APPOINTS FIRST DEAN FOR SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ARTS SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY View All News Services to Faculty How much do you know about CCBC Library It s a new year and many new resources and procedures are in place at CCBC Library Take a few minutes to check your knowledge of our Library by taking the a quick TRUE FALSE quiz Don t worry only you will know how you did Check your answers here Library Orientation A good way to introduce your new students to the Library is to arrange a Library Orientation session when librarians provide a tour of the facilities an overview of our services and an introduction to B VR PAC the Library online catalog At that time students can also obtain their library card which allows them to use the Library computers and access our research databases from home To schedule a Library orientation session please fill out the Faculty Request for Group Library Instruction form and contact the reference librarian two weeks before the date to reserve a time slot Course integrated Instruction For more in depth instruction sessions can be tailored specifically to your course assignments Librarians can teach students how to use reference materials online databases periodical indexes relevant Web sites and much more To schedule an instruction session please fill out the Faculty Request for Group Library Instruction form and contact the reference librarian two weeks before the date to reserve a time slot Individual Assistance Faculty may also set up individual appointments with the librarian to discuss course assignments library resources and instruction research needs student learning outcomes etc by calling Leila Mandel at 724 480 3427 Reserves To place materials on reserve for your class please fill out a Reserve Book Form available at the Customer Service
