    Research and Computer Analysis ABOUT COLIN Greetings all My name is Colin Fenster and I hail from Richmond Virginia where I have lived nearly all my life I m the middle child of three I have an older sister Hannah who studied English in college and a younger brother Casey who is three years younger than me and runs cross country and track I m a big football fan my college team is TCU and my NFL team is the Cowboys can you tell I was born in Texas and I also love baseball and college basketball I applied to the Academy in October of my senior year of high school and I can t imagine having gone anywhere else I ve met some truly wonderful people and had wildly unique experiences At the Academy I am an Operations Research and Computer Analysis major but I also love studying public policy I am part of the swim team and the water polo team and I participate in the Model United Nations club In my free time I love to ski read hang out with friends and pursue what will most likely turn out to be an unsuccessful stand up comedy

    S PHOTOS JILL S LATEST ENTRIES January 2016 October 2015 September 2015 Cadet Profile Jill Friedman Farmington CT Class of 2019 Major Operations Research and Computer Analysis ABOUT JILL My name is Jill Friedman and I m a local from here in Connecticut I intend on being an Operations Research and Computer Analysis major which is just a lot of fancy words for applied math Here at the Academy I m on the woman s rugby team and absolutely love it I played volleyball and swam in high school so rugby was completely different from every other sport I played but I wanted to change it up and I couldn t be happier with that decision In order to get to the Academy I participated in the Coast Guard Academy Scholars CGAS program I attended Marion Military Institute in Marion Alabama for a year of prep school After prep school I decided to stay active duty and went to work at Sector Northern New England in South Portland Maine Next came the infamous Swab Summer which was challenging but made easier by my prep experience Now Swab Summer is over and the academic year is in full swing with a

    but man I m loving every second of it 4 c Sydney Johnson here nice to meet you Originally from the Bronx New York but now I reside in good ol Suffolk Virginia I m a runner but a musician at heart trumpet and trombone of course and I take interest in some of the finer things in life art cuisine playing with dogs and such It wasn t until attending AIM the one week Academy program that I became aware of what the Coast Guard had to offer but in that one week s time my decision was set Coast Guard for evr My path toward the Academy would then be forged by the Coast Guard Academy s Scholars program I spent a year at Marion Military Institute in order to strengthen my academics and in the process I have made some lifelong friends to share the journey with Fast forward and here I am at the Academy living the sleepless life of a cadet I m currently involved in various clubs Genesis Council Compañeros as well as the International Council and anxiously waiting the start of track and field season Between it all the academics sports clubs and
