    fee For students who need an F 1 visa and after the SEVIS fee has been paid an appointment should be made as soon as possible at the U S consulate or embassy Most embassies and consulates will not grant F 1 visas earlier than three months before the first day of the student s term F 1 visas are not required for Canadian citizens but Canadians must pay the SEVIS fee prior to applying for admission at the U S Port of Entry F 1 Transfer If you are transferring to CIU on an F 1 Visa fill out the F 1 Transfer Form and submit it to the international student enrollment counselor F 2 to F 1 Individuals requesting change of status from F 2 to F 1 will need to fill out the I 539 form Download an I 539 or stop by the Student Center and pick up a copy from the international student advisor s office in the Student Center You will need 1 The new I 20 being issued to you from the Admissions Office 2 A copy of your I 94 3 A copy of the F 1 spouse s I 20 4

    Connect CIU As a new undergraduate student this orientation program helps you prepare for college life at CIU You ll have fun and you ll connect with other new students Look for information in the mail about this required orientation for new incoming undergraduate students The CIU Seminary Graduate Orientation Program also provides a comprehensive introduction to the CIU community and CIU s educational philosophy and is a time to connect with CIU faculty staff and students All new incoming seminary and graduate students will receive a schedule and more information in the mail Housing There are several on campus housing options available to you and you may submit your housing requests prior to attendance by completing the housing survey Registration is open once the registrar alerts new students through their MyCIU accounts Contact Residence Life with any questions at 803 807 5485 Health Insurance All students are required to have health insurance Proof of insurance will be requested each semester If you re covered by a guardian s or employer s plan you must verify coverage will remain in effect while you re a student in South Carolina Each student should have a copy of his or her insurance

    moved to Jacksonville Florida where I was the associate pastor and youth pastor at Glendale Community Church During this time God called us to overseas missions I was reluctant at first but with the help of the Holy Spirit I was able to tell the Lord I want to go on record with you that with all the honesty of my soul I am not only willing but also ready to go anywhere in the world to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ After waiting for 18 months our family arrived in Ethiopia on July 2 1954 For the next 30 years I served both as evangelist and trainer It was an honor to be used by God in hundreds of people s lives Under the communist regime we were placed under house arrest for preaching God s word Many faithful believers fervently prayed for our release and those precious prayers were answered by our faithful God My wife and I had served with SIM Serving In Mission for 49 years when the Lord called Elaine home after a battle with cancer in 1999 In 2006 I married Betty Stone as I continued on in the ministry A beloved church
