    leads to a bachelor s degree Minor A minimum of 21 credits in a core of courses giving you insight into an area but without the depth of a major Concentration At least 12 credits that give you an opportunity to extend general learning into a more specific area Interdisciplinary Minor A minimum of 21 credits that focuses on an area and provides perspective from different disciplines Although not a major it s transcript visible The biomedical minor is similar to a minor and is open to all majors Students earn the minor to be more competitive graduate medical or law school applicants or to obtain positions in the biomedical industry one of the fastest growing industries in the United States Licensure The Engineering Teacher Education concentration allows students to obtain an engineering degree and a teaching license in technology education Graduates may pursue an engineering career or choose to teach engineering design principles and concepts in junior and senior high school Double Majors and Minors Engineering students have numerous options for pursuing double majors Electrical and computer engineering students might combine their degree with one in computer science An engineering degree could be combined with technical journalism or business

    to the March 1 submission deadline undergraduate students fill out the online CSU Scholarship Application CSUSA located on RamWeb The criteria for each scholarship is specified by the sponsor Students need to maintain a minimum grade point average of 3 0 in order to be considered and while receiving the scholarship need to carry at least 14 credits per semester leading toward an engineering degree Students who apply to the College of Engineering should explore various opportunities External Scholarships Many organizations outside of Colorado State offer external scholarships University Scholarships CSU Student Financial Services offers University scholarships to qualified students Some are one time scholarships while others are renewable up to a total of four years provided the student performs at a specified minimum level and carries a full class load Because of higher admission standards in the College of Engineering many engineering students are offered renewable scholarships College and Department Scholarships The College of Engineering and its departments also offer scholarships Some of these scholarships are for one year while others are renewable up to four years provided the student maintains a minimum grade point average and registers for at least 14 credits toward an engineering degree Each spring our scholarship donors and student recipients come together for a luncheon to celebrate the accomplishments of the next generation of engineers made possible by our alumni and friends If you have additional questions about engineering scholarships feel free to contact Dr Anthony Marchese at 970 491 2328 or undergrad engr colostate edu Financial Aid Colorado State s Student Financial Services Office provides a great deal of information and support and they assist with questions regarding applying for financial aid Every family has unique situations that may make a difference in the process Keep in mind that an early application for
