    in mind We accept essays articles and criticism both topical and in depth on a broad range of subjects including science culture politics policy the arts and all intersections in between Length is negotiable and we accept pieces at all times Additionally CJAS offers these general guidelines Contributors need not interrupt the flow of their writing with citations just know them if needed Contributors can feel free are even encouraged if it helps the piece to situate themselves in the work If everyone knows the news tell us something else about it If you would like to submit a piece of writing to be considered for publication on the CJAS website please send your submission in Word format to djw2117 columbia edu All text should be in 12 point Times New Roman font Everything save for block quotes should be double spaced Please do not attach image documents unless requested by the editor Print Submissions CJAS accepts articles on any aspect of American culture Articles should bring together disparate disciplines and appeal to a broad intellectual audience Please review our history and editorial mission prior to submitting Please send all submissions in Word format to Dr Mark Noonan Executive Editor
