    careercenter csus edu Jobs Career Connection jobs csus edu Internships cmcgee csus edu Career Events s a csus edu Office Hours Monday Friday 9 am 5 pm Follow Us Employers On Campus Recruitment The On Campus Recruitment Program enables employers to interview graduating seniors and alumni at Sacramento State The Career Center acquires six private interview rooms that can be reserved during the recruitment season The program is managed by our on line career services management system Career Connection which is accessible to the recruiter as well as Sacramento State students and alumni 24 7 To get started in the On Campus Recruitment program please register with Career Connection Spring 2016 Recruitment Season March 7th May 3rd To submit a request for an On Campus Recruitment schedule Login to your Career Connection account Select the On Campus Interviews tab at the top of your account page Select the Schedules tab on the On Campus Interviews page Select Request A Schedule submit your request Allow up to 48 hours for Career Center staff to review your request and contact you regarding your schedule OCR Policies To be eligible for an On Campus Recruitment schedule employers must be filling an internship position or offering a professional career opportunity requiring a Bachelor s or Master s degree Organizations requiring a monetary investment from candidates are excluded from participation in the On campus Recruitment Program Third party recruiters and staffing companies are equally excluded from participating in this program The Career Center offers two options for candidate selection Career Center staff will review the process in its entirety with recruiters once a schedule has been confirmed however we have provided a brief description Open Pre Select Schedule The Career Center will block half of the interview times for candidates pre selected by the recruiter

    like working on your own or want to get a head start on this process before you see a career counselor you can use EUREKA or Choices on the computer in the Career Center The next step in making an informed decision is to research the world of work 2 Research Academic Career Options Making a decision about the kind of major and or work you would enjoy involves learning something about what is out there in the world of work You can begin to explore your options in the Career Center s Career Information Library There are many books and videos in the Career Center to help you identify great jobs for different majors interests personalities and professions There are directories trade publications company information binders and videos to help you contact people and visualize potential occupations and opportunities for experience The Career Center provides Internet access and web site locations for exploration You can talk directly with employers at a variety of career events In addition to the Career Information Library students can attend company information meetings held during the semester 3 Explore the World of Work Once you have researched possible academic majors and occupational fields based on the knowledge acquired through self exploration and research the next step involves getting some experience and having an opportunity to check out your interests first hand There are lots of ways to do this both on and off campus Resources you can access on campus include academic major clubs and organizations department internship programs the Cooperative Education program career and job fairs sponsored by student organizations and the Career Center The Career Center also provides opportunities through part time work internships community service and volunteer positions These can be accessed in person at the Career Center and on line
