    student success in the CSU impact the nation and even the global workplace At Sacramento State we believe that our job is not only to open the proverbial door of higher education to students but more importantly to give them access to a degree In other words access done right means that as many students as possible who meet our requirements and enter the University are able to get the classes and services they need to make timely progress toward a degree We want to measure our success as an institution at least in part by how many students we graduate rather than how many students we admit We at Sacramento State feel it is imperative that we serve our students better and help more of them complete educations that prepare them for full productive lives What does the GI mean for Sacramento State For Sacramento State meeting the GI goals means that we will by 2015 Increase our first time freshman six year graduation rate to 51 Increase our four year transfer graduation rate to 68 Reduce the achievement gap for under represented freshmen to 5 Reduce the achievement gap for under represented transfer students to 2 5 How are we working to increase graduation and retention We have a plan The comprehensive Graduation Initiative Strategic Plan extends to every corner of the campus Academic Affairs faculty Student Affairs Administration and Business Affairs Information Resources and Technology the Office of Institutional Research and many other areas We re working in all those areas to incorporate myriad strategies to increase students feelings of connection to the University and concretely improve their success retention and graduation rates and we re looking at data to inform improve and refine our efforts What are some key things Sac State has done so far

    2012 Course and Program Approval Process 2012 2013 2013 2014 2014 2015 2015 2016 Glossary Calendars word File Name Data Dashboards Quick Links Forms Class Scheduling Scheduling FAQ Schedule Building Quick Reference Guide Schedule Building and Faculty Workload Reports Advanced Class Scheduling Manual APDB Course Classifications ACADEMICALLY RELATED ACTIVITIES ARA STUDENT TRAVEL FUND GUIDELINES 2015 2016 APPLICATION TIMELINE Applications are currently being accepted Funds are distributed as applications are submitted on a first come first served basis THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT FUNDS WILL BE AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE ACADEMIC YEAR DEADLINE 5 00 p m Monday April 4 2016 Click HERE for an application ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Travel funds will be awarded to students based on a competitive selection process who are presenting papers at scholarly and professional conferences selected for competition to perform musical or dramatic pieces or invited by a recognized gallery to exhibit artistic works Applications for travel money need to be made before the date of the presentation and must have a university sponsor signature Ordinarily no student will be funded more than once per academic year A confirmation letter documenting performance or exhibition MUST be attached to the application If your presentation is part of a course requirement you are NOT eligible to apply for ARA funding A copy of the paper or outline of the presentation MUST be filed with the Academic Affairs Office before the presentation A completed Release of Liability Waiver of Right to Sue Assumption of Risk and Agreement to Pay Claims form must be on file in the Office of Academic Affairs before the presentation Click HERE to download the form AMOUNT OF GRANTS Awards will not normally exceed 300 for in state conferences and 500 for out of state conferences REIMBURSABLE ITEMS Funds will be made available ONLY toward travel

    Data Dashboards Quick Links Forms Class Scheduling Scheduling FAQ Schedule Building Quick Reference Guide Schedule Building and Faculty Workload Reports Advanced Class Scheduling Manual APDB Course Classifications STUDENT ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT SAD PROGRAM GUIDELINES 2015 2016 Please read these guidelines carefully before you complete the application and print a copy for your reference Click HERE for an application NOTE Incomplete or late applications will be returned PURPOSE The purpose of the Student Academic Development Program fund established with Sacramento State discretionary lottery monies and with additional funding from ASI is to support activities that extend students educational experiences beyond the normal instructional environment We encourage students from all academic disciplines to apply ELIGIBLE CATEGORIES Individual students and student groups are eligible for these awards All group projects must be submitted as one application with pertinent information for each student included For students attending conferences only individual applications will be accepted even if you are traveling as part of a group The University Sponsor signature is REQUIRED CATEGORIES 1 Attendance at a professional meeting or workshop in the major or related majors Note Tuition and membership fees will not be funded 2 Development of a special curriculum related project or presentation which will be completed by May 1 2016 3 Participation in an academic competition or artistic performance Requests may include the costs of in state or out of state registration fees and lodging and in state transportation only i e airfare gasoline If you are using a travel agency or booking your reservation online lodging and transportation expenses must be listed separately EXPENSES CANNOT INCLUDE MEALS Costs must be incurred in the semester in which the application is submitted DEADLINES The deadlines for submission of applications are 5 00 p m Friday April 8 2016 for Summer 2015 Fall 2015 and
