    Admissions Athletics Campus Life Giving You are here Home CSU Stanislaus Again Ranked Among Nation s Best Colleges CSU Stanislaus Again Ranked Among Nation s Best Colleges TURLOCK Calif September 4 2013 California State University Stanislaus has again been recognized among the top colleges and universities in the nation earning a place in the Princeton Review s The Best 378 Colleges 2014 Edition CSU Stanislaus has now been included in the Princeton Review s annual guide for eight consecutive years Colleges and universities in the guide are selected based on categories ranging from academics and admissions selectivity to financial aid and fire safety Each university profile in the book also includes comments gathered from a Princeton Review survey of 126 000 students from the 378 schools in the book The CSU Stanislaus profile in this year s guide includes student comments praising the university for offering an affordable education excellent faculty small class sizes attentive staff beautiful scenery and a large selection of student clubs and organizations I am very proud to once again see CSU Stanislaus praised for its high quality academics as well as its commitment to student success and student life President Joseph F Sheley said Our

  • CSU Stanislaus Again Recognized Nationally for Quality, Affordability and Military Friendliness | California State University Stanislaus
    rankings and designations that speak to the university s overall quality affordability and value and friendliness to the military and veterans For the 18th consecutive year CSU Stanislaus was ranked among the best colleges in the west by U S News World Report The university placed No 57 overall and No 17 among public universities in the publication s Regional University West Rankings To determine its rankings U S News World Report gathers data from and about each school in up to 16 areas related to academic excellence The areas are weighted by the publisher and the colleges are then ranked by their composite weighted score While receiving high marks for quality CSU Stanislaus was also praised for its affordability and value to students The website Affordable Colleges Online listed CSU Stanislaus No 64 on its Obama Scorecard Colleges list which attempts to rank the top 100 schools most likely to achieve the upcoming presidential designation The Obama administration has announced a plan to release a scorecard ranking colleges and universities based on their value to students While the official scorecard is likely years away Affordable Colleges created its own version using weighted metrics such as net price tuition and fees minus grant and scholarship money per student student loan default rate graduation rates student services and starting salaries for graduates CSU Stanislaus ranked behind only Cal Poly Pomona among CSU campuses on the list The university was also named for the third consecutive year as a Military Friendly School by Victory Media the premier media entity for military personnel transitioning into civilian life The designation is given to the top 20 percent of colleges universities and trade schools in the nation that embrace military service members veterans and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus Over the
