    the seniors of 2014 Daegu High School also lost more of its best athletes due to PCS moves Coach Merrill Walters says I was worried when we lost a lot of players and coaches but the new guys have come in and learned the offensive lines and the steal players are doing great so I think we re as good as last year But did the players have the confidence their coach had Junior DeAndre Rosalie a captain of the football team said Even though we lost a lot of people this summer we also gained a lot and with the players we gained I think we re as good a team as we were last year and we have the potential to win championship Rosalie s words matched his actions On the team s first game Daegu beat Osan High School 24 0 Junior Kenneth Musselwhite said the team had bonded I think we were like family It was really nice playing alongside them and you got a sense of brotherhood Daegu played Humphreys High School on September 12 th with Humphreys making the first two touchdowns Maybe Daegu s victory was just luck Musselwhite begged to differ Twenty six points ahead wasn t luck he explained Daegu destroyed Humphrey s on the field after letting the team get its second and last touchdown leaving an astonishing 38 12 on the scoreboard Junior DeMarco Andrews captain and a new face to Korea said I felt that we were a good group and we were very small but tough Andrews thinks playing overseas is very different because the teams are smaller than usual and it s more competition but the bigger they are the harder they fall he says The players not only seem mentally strong but physically strong as
