    of Biology Department of Cartography and Geography Department of Chemistry Department of Environmental Health Science Department of Family and Consumer Science Department of Health Information Management Department of Mathematics and Computer Science Department of Nursing Department of Physics Pre Professional Programs Resources Contact the Dean s Office ECAMP Oklahoma Junior Academy of Science Oklahoma State Science and Engineering Fair Institute for Environmental Science Education and Research Health and Sciences Scholarships Mathematica STEP Bridge Program College of Health and Sciences As one of the largest and most comprehensive academics units of East Central University the College of Health and Sciences seeks to advance scholarly and creative endeavor through excellence in teaching research or creative activities and service The faculty and staff of the College provide eighteen undergraduate and ten pre professional programs to its constituents These programs are located within the academic departments of Biology Cartography and Geography Chemistry Physics Computer Science Environmental Health Science Family and Consumer Sciences Health Information Management Mathematics and Nursing Mission Statement The mission of the College of Health and Sciences is to foster a learning environment in which students faculty staff and community interact to educate students in the study of the natural sciences technology human environment interaction and health care through excellence in teaching research creative activities and service Strategies The College of Health and Sciences acknowledges three areas of importance to fulfill its mission These are to provide a high quality and varied undergraduate curriculum in the natural sciences and health related fields This is achieved through the development of courses that foster intellectual development and critical thinking skills through the incorporation of learning from general education courses required for the baccalaureate degree and development of curriculums that prepare students for entry into professional careers graduate study or professional schools support of excellence
