    the disposition of the appeal The purpose of the appeal procedure is to provide Faculty Staff Students and Visitors with a channel for the administrative settlement of a parking citation In addition to providing the appellant with the opportunity of having an appeal heard and considered this procedure will assist Parking Services Division by providing additional means for internal resolution of issues and improving lines of communication The Traffic Appeals Board shall consider any facts or evidence which is relevant to its determination of the appeal Lack of parking spaces or the failure of others to observe regulations shall not be valid defenses to violation of the University s parking and traffic regulations The decision of the traffic Appeals Board is final without further right of review When an appeal is denied the fine assessed for the violation shall be paid within ten 10 days of notification or a late fee of 10 00 will be assessed The appellant will also be subject to any other administrative action authorized by regulations to collect all outstanding fines and fees Appeals of citations for parking infractions are instituted by filing a written appeal and submitting to Parking Services Division Visitors may obtain an appeals form by following the link on the documents tab of this site or from the Parking Services office Faculty Staff and Students shall file appeals electronically through Gulfline Parking citations can be appealed and paid online Appeals must be submitted within 10 calendar days from the date the citation was issued After 10 calendar days the citation can no longer be appealed Please note a late fee of 10 is assessed automatically after 10 calendar days if a citation is not paid or appealed Appeals are submitted online through http gulfline fgcu edu The appeal goes through three

    MY PARKING CITATIONS ARE VISITORS REQUIRED TO HAVE A PARKING PERMIT Yes All vehicles must have a validly displayed decal or permit to park on campus Permits for visitors can be obtained from the information booth the Parking office or University Police Department WHAT ABOUT LOST OR STOLEN DECALS OR PERMITS You must file a report with the Police Department so that the permit can be tracked Lost or stolen decals or permits will not be replaced and the registrant will be required to purchase a new decal or permit at a fee of 30 for Students Faculty Staff CAN I SELL MY DECAL OR PERMIT TO A FRIEND No This is considered permit fraud The fine is 100 00 As the decal permit remains associated to the registrant any unpaid citations and other violations are the responsibility of the registrant WHY DID I RECEIVE A CITATION I WAS PARKED THERE FOR ONLY A FEW MINUTES Citations can be issued 24 hours a day every day without respect for time WHAT IF I BUY SELL OR TRADE MY VEHICLE The original registrant may obtain a replacement decal for 10 upon presenting the original decal or remains thereof where possible along with the new vehicle registration to the University Police and Safety Permits can be transferred to the new vehicle upon registration THERE IS NO PLACE TO PARK There are over 5 000 parking spaces on campus Not all parking spaces can be located near campus buildings The parking garage and garage auxiliary accommodates both Faculty Staff and Students The University Shuttle service runs from McTarnaghan Hall every 15 minutes to north and south housing West Lake Village shuttle operates on the hour and half hour MAY I PARK IN RESTRICTED RESERVED PARKING AREAS No Restricted Reserved spaces include Visitor Reserved
