    keys and keys stuck in locks Hardware concerns such as a broken or damaged door lock no lock on your door the lock doesn t work or the key won t fit in the lock should be reported to the Work Management Center at 590 1370 Be prepared to give the building name room number and your name and phone number in case we need to get back with you University property such as keys must be turned in to the Physical Plant department as part of your exit procedure If you move to a new office location a KEY TRANSFER FORM can be submitted Please DO NOT trade keys with anyone until your department s designated administrative unit submits the form signed by your immediate supervisor Dean or Director Instructions on how to use the classroom card readers are posted above the door handle on every classroom door On a safety note classroom doors should not be propped open with desk chairs or waste baskets as this is a hindrance to wheelchair bound occupants as well as a safety concern in the event that an evacuation is needed open My office location is being moved Who do I contact to move my furniture and belongings When a change in location occurs there are several things that need to be done To start the process an email should be sent to WMC at wmc fgcu edu Include the anticipated move date and number of boxes needed if necessary Building rooms and occupant information also needs to be provided You will also need to fill out a BUILDING ACCESS REQUEST FORM for new keys or a KEY TRANSFER FORM you ll need to make arrangements with WMC at 590 1370 to turn in any old keys you have If there is any signage that will be changed an email should be sent to WMC indicating the changes and locations Please refer to the Moving Checklist for more information open Who do I call about cleaning services The University has a contracted custodial service When any type of cleaning is required please call WMC at 590 1370 Be prepared to give the building name room number and your name and phone number in case we need to get back with you If a spill occurs please call as soon as possible The sooner it can be cleaned the less chance there is of stains occurring or someone slipping The custodial staff also supplies the restrooms with paper products If service is needed please call WMC and we will dispatch personnel on duty After hours email wmc fgcu edu or leave message with WMC if emergency call UPD at 1900 The Police will forward to Physical Plant on call staff responsible to respond handle emergency matters and ensure compliance with safety protocol for blood vomit etc open Where does recycling go I see the custodians throwing it away Waste and recycling is collected every evening The custodians empty the recycling into a separate

    have any effect on mail delivery including delivery location Indicate the changes that need to be made along with the effective date of the change and your contact information Incoming Mail All incoming mail is sorted and delivered to its appropriate location by department twice daily It is the department s responsibility to route all interdepartmental mail received Outgoing Mail Any outgoing mail must be accompanied with a blue postal card that contains the departmental bar code All mail will be metered according to bar code on the blue postal card All departmental bard codes are kept confidential by Postal Services Postage usage for outgoing mail includes postage due undeliverable addressed mail and business reply mail are charged back to the appropriate departments on a monthly basis through expense reimbursements Outgoing mail is picked up by Postal Services twice daily and the pickup deadline for outgoing mail is at 2 30 P M Monday through Friday If the pick up deadline is missed outgoing mail expected to be sent out the same day may be hand delivered to Postal Services no later than 4 00 P M Please call Postal Services at 590 1320 or 590 1319 to make arrangements If a department is expecting a large mailout see the information below for Special Mailings Interoffice Mail Identify interoffice mail by the employee s name and department not the building or room number Mail addressed to FGCU should use the interoffice mail system and not go out for postage Interoffice mail is collected from various locations according to the mail schedule and distributed into the internal mail system and handled the same as all the other departmental mail To avoid delays with delivery of interoffice mail it would be ideal for departments to hand deliver interoffice mail when it is

    Tree Campus USA Turn Me Off Waste Services Electronic Recycling Contact Us Related Resources Environmental Stewardship Facilities Planning Renovations Office Furniture Physical Plant Monday Friday 8 00 a m 5 00 p m Phone 239 590 1370 Email wmc fgcu edu Campus Support Room 30 Grounds The Florida Gulf Coast University campus has a total of 807 acres In the future the University will have 324 acres of restored wetlands 23 acres of created wetlands and 121 acres of upland preserve The balance of the 339 remaining acres less the buildings and landscape will be exotic free or enhanced leaving only 20 acres under landscaped irrigation The University is responsible through Physical Plant for managing and monitoring these wetlands to achieve compliance with the Corps of Engineers Department of Environmental Protection and South Florida Water Management District SFWMD requirements The remaining acreage is landscaped and done so with natural indigenous plant material Of the landscaped acreage only 20 acres are under irrigation which was done to achieve the aesthetic and architectural requirements in the University Master Plan Any outside work needed for the wetlands and grounds is done through contractual services with consultants and qualified private firms The Grounds staff
