    also had lunch with visiting scientists from Georgia Tech UCLA University of Connecticut University of Maryland Harvard and University of Wisconsin March 17 2010 Mr Qasim Rehman and students from Carver Early College High School visited Georgia Tech The visit included tours of the Brown Lab Payne Lab and France Lab March 13 2010 Members of the Roswell High School Science Bowl team visited the Brown and Payne labs at Georgia Tech Pictured above are team members and their coach Mrs Diane Clark September 10 2009 Prof Brown introduced the field of cryptography to Mr Qasim Rehman s 9th grade advisement class at Carver Early College High School He described how to construct secret messages using a scytale or the chorus of a song He also briefly introduced quantum cryptography He finished his presentation by discussing how to become a science professor and the types of jobs available to college graduates who studied science August 6 2009 Prof Brown presented at the Atlanta Public School System District Focused Mathematics and Science Professional Learning Event Mr Boon Boonyapat invited Prof Brown to speak to APS high school teachers about ways to connect high school science with current research Prof Brown discussed
