  • Heritage Christian University - Events - TITUS Camp
    you can serve We want you to use your talents immediately This camp is not like a regular church camp in that you will have many classes to attend Some of those classes will be practical and others more focused on ministries that interest you Classes will range from song leading to spiritual maturity HOW MUCH DOES IT COST We only require a 25 non refundable application fee as a deposit for all campers This fee must be sent with your application for your spot to be reserved The average cost per camper is around 150 to 175 per camper However the staff counselors and directors have taken it upon themselves to raise the support Some students are sponsored by their home congregations and donations are sent ahead to HCU for each student WHAT CLASSES WILL I BE ATTENDING All students will be attending Bible classes and training classes They will receive training in Homiletics library research lesson preparation personal evangelism song leading spiritual maturity spiritual leadership counseling and youth ministry Two favorites are Manna in the Morning which is a devotional to get you started each morning and Give A Defense which is a challenging class to test your Bible knowledge WHAT SHOULD I BRING We encourage all campers to bring a Bible pillow air mattress sheets or sleeping bag and dress clothes The young men are required to wear a tie in all classes and when preaching The young women are required to wear dresses in all classes and when teaching Each evening and during our activities we will allow the young people to wear casual clothes knee length shorts jeans collared shirts etc We also expect each young person to bring a good attitude We will be taking a few trips off campus for various activities Huntsville Stars game Summer Youth Series etc therefore you may want to bring spending cash for mementos HOW CAN I RESERVE MY PLACE If you are interested in being a part of TITUS camp this year then you need to fill out an application and mail it in before the deadline March 1 along with your 25 application fee We regret to announce that we will only be able to take the first 40 male and 30 female applicants into camp So make sure to reserve your spot at camp as quickly as possible because you don t want to miss it The applications will be taken on a first come first serve basis HOW CAN I BECOME A COUNSELOR OR TEACHER If you are interested in being a part of the TITUS camp staff you need to fill out a counselor application We will review those applications at our annual staff meeting in March and get back with you by April 1 We may also need teachers for the camp so if you are interested in teaching a Bible class chapel service or devotional please send us a message HOW CAN I HELP T I T U S CAMP 1
