    Coaches Softball Coaches 2015 2016 Photo Name Andrew Sharp Position Head Coach Photo Name Warren Yoder Position Assistant Coach Andrew Sharp Sixth Season Phone 620 327 8175 Email andrew sharp hesston edu Andrew Sharp enters his sixth season at the helm of Hesston College Softball In the season before he arrived the Larks went 4 26 In his first year Sharp guided Hesston to a 17 23 overall record That season Hesston broke the school record for team fielding percentage and produced the school s first all region player since moving to NJCAA Division II In 2011 the Larks won 18 games and again broke the team mark for fielding percentage as well as the overall hits mark The 2011 team produced two all region players and two Academic All Americans In 2012 Hesston Softball won 23 games breaking the previous wins record of 22 Sharp s 2013 team finished with a 16 14 record in Region VI play good for seventh place among 16 schools Sharp pitched for the Hesston baseball team from 1997 99 earning an Associates of Arts degree in May 1999 He later graduated from Millersville Pa University with a Bachelor s degree in history and

    She will look to help solidify the Larks infield and can play several positions Aside from her time with Lodi High Richardson plays travel ball for the California Grapettes 18 gold coached by Todd Clark Kendall represents a huge addition to our program Sharp said I ve been scouting her travel team for a few years and am thrilled to build on this relationship The Grapettes play hard and run the bases well Kendall will have a smooth transition to our style of play A consistent presence on the Lodi High honor roll Richardson will study nursing at Hesston She is the daughter of Pam and Dan Richardson Lodi Yasin Kern Valley Softball s team MVP the last two years is the reigning High Desert League Pitcher of the Year Yasin also earned first team all conference honors as a first baseman in 2015 leading Kern Valley to a 20 win season An HDL all academic member the last two years Yasin will study nursing at Hesston Adding Ashley to this recruiting class was a huge deal Sharp said She ll College softball coach Andrew Sharp announces Josie Noll an outfielder from Jefferson County North High School Winchester Kan and Mikayla Bomgardner a pitcher from Lebanon Pa as the newest additions to the Hesston program Noll competes in volleyball and power lifting at Jefferson County North High and plays travel ball for the Lawrence Kan Hummers She was twice a state tournament participant in volleyball and earned the Sportsmanship Award for her play with the Hummers A multi year honor roll student Noll will study nursing at Hesston She attends Corpus Christie Catholic Church Winchester Josie brings an athletic presence and good competiveness to our roster Sharp said She has all the tools necessary for a great college experience and we re thrilled she s coming our way Noll is the daughter of Joey and Sarah Noll Winchester Bomgardner committed to Hesston Softball during a fall visit and adds depth to a promising Larks pitching staff She plays travel ball for the Mid Penn Lighting and is completing her high school degree through PA Distance Learning Center Mikayla like a lot of our recruits is traveling a long distance for college but will be right at home on our softball coach Andrew Sharp announces Jocelyn Chavez an outfielder from Dwight D Eisenhower High School Rialto Calif and Brittney Postlewait a catcher outfielder from Adna High School Chehalis Wash as the first additions to the Larks 2016 recruiting class A second team all Citrus Belt League performer as a junior and four year varsity player at Eisenhower High Chavez brings a big left handed bat to the Hesston outfield She plays travel ball for Team Easton an 18 gold team based out of Southern California Jocelyn got this recruiting class off and running with an early commitment Sharp said She s a fantastic addition and will impact our program in a variety of ways We re very excited to have her on campus this fall Chavez has been a mainstay on the Principal s Honor Roll in high school and will study nursing at Hesston She is the daughter of Lizet Hernandez and Mario Rojas Rialto Postlewait an all conference player and varsity starter since her eighth grade season was a big part of Adna High School as the newest addition to the Larks program A softball team captain and Most Valuable Player her sophomore year Piecewicz was a three year varsity starter in the infield at Mt Spokane High She also played high school volleyball where she was a team captain Piecewicz will study biomedical engineering at Hesston She is a National Honor Society member Honor Roll student National Language Arts and Academic Letter recipient Bailyn gives our roster added talent at a crucial spot Sharp said She s a middle of the field player with speed and we ll put her to work immediately Her academic
