    Financial Aid Student Accounting Residence Greek Life Bookstore Career Services Corporate Relations Academic Resource Center Entrepreneurship Academy Registrar Services cont International Center Center for Disability Resources Public Safety Office of Technology Services OTS Support Access Card and Parking Services Shuttle Bus IIT Online Editorial Style Guide Student Health and Wellness Center Jules F Knapp Entrepreneurship Center Libraries Paul V Galvin Library Graham Resource Center Architecture Center for the Study of Ethics in the Professions Library Downtown Campus Library IFSH Library IIT Archives News Events IIT Today IIT Magazine Media Room University Calendar Academic Calendar Close Menu IIT School of Applied Technology School of Applied Technology Industrial Technology and Management About Programs Admissions Students Alumni Industry Partners News Events Request Info Bachelor of Industrial Technology and Management The Bachelor of Industrial Technology and Management BINTM is a completion program for working individuals who have technical training in manufacturing or industrial specialties The program enables students to build upon existing skills improve technical and managerial capabilities and thereby expand their career opportunities to include management positions Educational outcomes of the BINTM program include Understand best practices in industry and methods of implementation Identify and evaluate significant factors and issues affecting managerial decision making Ability to assume a leadership role and a higher level of professional responsibility Understand how to address a wide range of operational and situational challenges Understand the importance of ethical and sustainable industrial operations Communicate effectively at all levels in an objective and professional manner Ability to function on multidisciplinary teams Transferring into the BINTM Program Community college students generally transfer to IIT after completing an Associate s of Applied Science AAS however a two year degree is not required for admission Established transfer programs are in place for members of IBEW Local 134 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers journeyman wireman and IUOE 399 International Union of Operating Engineers stationary engineers Students transfer into the BINTM program from a range of technical programs serving industry Manufacturing Technology Machining Machine Tool specialties Integrated Systems Electro Mechanical Technology Electronics Technology Engineering Technology Mechatronics Mechanical Design and Drafting CAD Electrical Construction Technology Construction Management Facilities Management Maintenance Technology Stationary Engineering HVAC Heating AC Refrigeration Logistics Transportation Distribution Supply Chain Management Individuals with military service and or enrolled in IIT ROTC Reserve Officer Training Corps also qualify for admission to the BINTM program MOS specific training ACE credit and ROTC leadership courses generally fulfill lower level Technical coursework under BINTM admission requirements see our Admission s page Students from four year universities who have at least 45 hours of applicable credit also may apply for admission Individuals seeking to change their major from an engineering discipline civil electrical industrial or mechanical are able to transfer into the INTM Program and make the most of their accrued credit due to the range of topics which qualify as Technical coursework BINTM Curriculum A total of 126 credits are required for the bachelor s degree consisting of 66 credits 22 courses of junior and senior level
