    History and Features of Burnham Park Chicago Illinois and Guide Map Guide to Rocks and Minerals of Illinois Guide for Beginning Fossil Hunters August 2012 Unpublished Reports Cavities in the Ordovician Galena Group at the Conco Mine North Aurora Illinois USA By Jared T Freiburg Bruce W Fouke and Zakaria Lasemi This study examines the associations and origins of spectacular mineralization recently found in large solution cavities within the Ordovician Galena Group rocks in northeastern Illinois The information should help researchers as they develop predictive models of regional paleofluid flow and more accurate models for mineral and hydrocarbon exploration Cheri Chenoweth Alan Myers and Jennifer Obrad completed 10 quadrangle maps of mined out areas plus directories containing detailed information on mine histories and sources of information The maps were delivered to the project sponsor IDOT and are available for download and purchase from the ISGS The quadrangles are Fancher Neoga Oconee Shelbyville Stewardson East Stewardson West Grayville Keensburg Mount Carmel and Heathsville Quadrangles Thirteen unpublished reports were submitted to the Illinois Department of Transportation Ordering Information Other Publications July 2012 June 2012 May 2012 April 2012 March 2012 February 2012 January 2012 2011 Publications 2010 Publications 2009 Publications 2008 Publications
