    of the Office of the Executive Vice President for University Academic Affairs Mission and Performance Objectives Our mission is to meet the institutional data research and analytic needs of the university administration to assure accurate and timely reporting of data to internal and external audiences and to support data driven decision making UIRR divides its efforts into two primary functional areas Institutional Research Capacity Development and Direct Research Support The overall effectiveness of university planning and institutional research depends on the capacities of all IU campuses to use institutional information analysis and inquiry effectively Performance objectives for this area include Conducting institutional research studies to inform the entire university community regarding pertinent issues that impact higher education institutional planning management and operation Coordinating with IU campus institutional research staff and offices to promote the quality and consistency of institutional research and data gathering Developing information resources that broaden access to and effective use of institutional data for university and campus level strategic and tactical decision making External Reporting We contribute to IU s mission by assisting in the development of internal performance metrics that measure institutional effectiveness and monitoring external performance indicators such as academic program rankings and ratings that

    September In the fall of 2009 the College GO program waived application fees for Indiana students and have artificially inflated the 2010 numbers This report will be updated periodically the frequency of new reports will become weekly as we enter the summer months Beginner Profile These reports provide demographic information and test scores for the students new to the university who make up the incoming cohort for retention and graduation rate reporting The figures reflect all beginners and are used for a variety of external reports Board of Trustees Reports and presentations provided by the University Institutional Research and Reporting office during Board of Trustee meetings Degree Completions The completions report reflects the degree conferrals in a given fiscal year July 1 June 30 and is the basis for our reporting to the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System IPEDS As such Purdue University degrees granted at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis IUPUI are included in our totals and IUPUI campus views The Historic Degrees Conferred report does not contain the totals of Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne IPFW and Statewide Technology SWT degrees awarded through Purdue University The number of IPFW and SWT degree figures can be found in our Fact Book Enrollment University Research and Reporting produces a number of internal and official enrollment reports for each semester The enrollment information includes Census Study Reports Enrollment Projections Enrollment Reports and the Web Enrollment Tool Financial Aid UIRR produces financial aid reports compiled from the institution s Indiana Commission for Higher Education Student Information System ICHE SIS submission of students enrolled in any of the four semesters comprising a fiscal year Fall Spring and Summer I and II More detailed data snapshots accessible through the data warehouse are also available for internal reporting needs for IU campus financial aid

    Wayne IPFW and Statewide Technology SWT degrees awarded through Purdue University The number of IPFW and SWT degree figures can be found in our Fact Book Please note The following reports are in PDF format Number of Degrees Awarded at Indiana University since 1830 Indiana University Degrees Awarded by Campus 1971 present Bachelor Degree Recipient Profile Summary Reports 2014 15 Incoming Characteristics Populations Nearly one third of bachelor s degrees awarded in 2014 15 were to students who came to IU as transfers More than 80 of Bachelor graduates took summer coursework Beginner domestic minority students who were awarded degrees in 2014 15 increased by 11 4 from the previous year Time to Degree Summary Almost 71 of beginner students who took dual credit coursework completed their degrees on time Of those beginner students who graduated with no loan debt 4 074 almost 71 completed their degrees on time Beginner Attempted vs Earned Hours by CIP Code Description Almost 74 of all beginner students in the Biological and Biomedical Science and Public Administration programs completed their degrees on time Archived Summary Reports 2013 14 2012 13 Tableau Reports These views are a result of several state and federal initiatives and incentives during the past few years e g Reaching Higher Achieving More Complete College of America UIRR has designed these data views with drill down capabilities to easily research the timeliness of Bachelor recipient degree completions These views contain the most recent five years of data Traditional graduation rates are calculated by taking a cohort of incoming first time in college students who are enrolled full time and tracks them through 150 of the NORMAL time to determine successful outcomes 1 5 years for certificates 3 years for associate degrees and 6 years for bachelor degrees But this process excludes
