    the opportunity to work with students from around the world This page is dedicated to our international applicants as well as those who have studied at international institutions In addition to the application requirements listed elsewhere international applicants may have to submit additional documentation Here applicants may find details regarding English language proficiency tests Credentials evaluation requirement for international academic records including study abroad PLEASE NOTE POLICY CHANGE Student visas Applicants to the Schoolwide Master of Public Health MPH should carefully review the instructions specific to them English Language Proficiency Tests Most applicants from countries where English is not the official language must submit scores of an English language proficiency test To fulfill this requirement the Bloomberg School will accept scores from either the Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL or International English Language Testing System IELTS TOEFL ETS institution code for MPH applicants applying through SOPHAS is 5688 ETS institution code for all other applicants is 5352 Minimum Scores computer based version 250 paper based version 600 online version 100 IELTS All applicants submit IELTS scores directly to the Bloomberg School s Admission Services A copy of your score report may be emailed to jhsph admiss jhu edu Minimum Score 7 TOEFL IELTS Exceptions Admissions will waive this requirement for degree applicants only if a student has completed a four year degree from an accredited U S institution a student is from a country listed on our quick reference list Certificate applicants are not required to submit English Language Proficiency Test Scores Timeline Be aware of application deadlines If you re required to take an English language proficiency test please make sure you do so well before your application is due Your application will not be reviewed until all materials are received and may be withdrawn if still incomplete after the application deadline International Academic Records Regardless of citizenship language or home country if you attended a post secondary institution outside of the United States you must have your academic records evaluated by a U S based external credentials evaluation agency Applicants to the Schoolwide MPH with international academic records should follow the SOPHAS instructions for obtaining a credentials evaluation through WES All other applicants should Choose an agency from the list below that will include a copy of your transcript or marks sheet in its credentialing report Request a course by course evaluation List the Bloomberg School as the recipient of the report The Bloomberg School does not endorse credential evaluation agencies However the following agencies meet the general requirements and will submit copies of transcripts and mark sheets with their reports AACRAO International Education Services One Dupont Circle NW Suite 520 Washington DC 20036 202 296 3359 FIS 505 Fifth Avenue South Suite 101 Edmonds WA 98020 USA 425 248 2255 WES Bowling Green Station PO Box 5087 New York NY 10274 USA 212 966 6311 Records from English speaking Canada If you received a degree from a college or university in English speaking Canada
