    ohana are in Hāna Maui and dating farther back to Na alehu Hawai i Nobriga has served on the Kamehameha Schools Board of Trustees since 2013 From 2009 until his appointment as trustee Nobriga was one of two financial experts appointed by the Probate Court as independent audit committee members whose purpose was to assist the Kamehameha Schools Board of Trustees in fulfilling its fiduciary responsibilities Nobriga joined the Queen s Health Systems Queen s as its executive vice president and chief financial officer in February 2014 He oversees The Queen Emma Land Company The Queen s Development Corporation Endowment Corporate Development Corporate Planning Finance Treasury Revenue Cycle and Information Technology divisions Prior to joining the executive team Nobriga served as a trustee of the Queen s board where he served as chairperson of the Finance Committee and as a member of the Endowment and Audit Committees Nobriga s history with health care and academia in Hawai i dates back to the 2001 to 2005 time period when he served as the chief financial and operations officer of The University of Hawai i John A Burns School of Medicine JABSOM an important partner for Queen s in medical education and research Nobriga was part of the executive team that led a complete turnaround of the medical school stabilizing its financial base saving its accreditation and culminating in the development of state of the art biomedical research and education facilities in Kaka ako Hawai i Prior to his current position at Queen s Nobriga served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Hawaii National Bank HNB where he oversaw finance and operations and was part of the executive team that led a turnaround of HNB rebuilding its infrastructure updating strategy and management practices and restructuring and growing its balance

    Publishing Charles Reed Bishop Trust Find a job at KS Join our mailing list Contact us Trustee Micah A Kāne Secretary Treasurer MICAH A KĀNE Micah A Kāne is the chief operating officer of Pacific Links Hawaii and is responsible for the company s Hawai i operations and future acquisitions in the islands Prior to joining Kamehameha Schools Kāne was appointed chairman of the Hawaiian Homes Commission and the director of the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands by Gov Linda Lingle in 2003 and served in that capacity until 2009 A former chair and executive director of the Hawai i Republican Party Kāne also served as a government affairs liaison for the Building Industry Association of Hawai i and traveled throughout the South Pacific helping entrepreneurs start businesses as a business consultant for the Pacific Business Center Kāne is on the boards of various community based organizations including the Hawaii Community Foundation Hawaii Meth Project Malama Learning Center Lanakila Pacific LLC and the March of Dimes He also serves as a trustee for his alma mater Menlo College Kāne received a master s degree in business administration from the University of Hawai i at Mānoa and a bachelor s degree in business administration from Menlo College where he graduated cum laude Kāne is also a graduate of Kamehameha Schools While attending Menlo College he played both baseball and football and in 2007 was inducted into the Menlo College Hall of Fame for his efforts on the football field Over the years Kāne has been recognized for various awards including the Salvation Army Partners in Community Service Award Hawaiian Leader of the Year Award from the Ko olaupoko Hawaiian Civic Club Ho oulu Leadership Award for Government Environmental Council Award Spirit of the Year Award from the Aloha United Way and
