    year students must remain registered full time and during annual vacations CPT is only granted to F 1 students who have been maintaining their SEVIS record Active for at least one academic year in the U S Nonimmigrant visa holders who do not fall under the previously mentioned criteria are ineligible for CPT It is important for students to remember that CPT is a benefit of the F 1 visa status not a right F 1 students who engage in unauthorized employment will be considered to be out of status and ineligible for any nonimmigrant benefits Please be mindful of KSI regulations Guidelines Requirements Students at KSI are required to register and completed at least one credit of Applied CIS Practicum CIS600 as an integral graduation requirement This internship must be related to the student s major at KSI Students must meet the minimum GPA requirements in order to register for CIS600 New incoming students must have a GPA of 2 95 in order to register for CIS600 apply for CPT within their first semester Current KSI students must have a GPA of 2 95 in order to apply for CPT within any given semester Students must also submit CPT documentation in each semester they plan to register and apply for CPT these documentations are mentioned below in the Application Procedures An evaluation report must be submitted by the company two weeks prior to the semester end date If an evaluation report has not been submitted on time the student will not be eligible to have CPT in the following semester and will fail course CIS600 leaving this integral graduation requirement pending Limitations CPT may be part time 20 hours per week or less or full time more than 20 hours per week If a student accumulates 12 months of
