    Area Officer MA Portfolio MBA MA Overview Admission Graduate Certificate Overview Advising Advising Courses REES 110 REES 220 Methodology Capstone Seminars Student Clubs Languages Study Abroad Funding Internships Laird Essay Competition Admission Outreach K 12 Resources World Wednesdays Lesson Plans Study Guide Worlds Oceans Map Podcasts YouTube Channel Eco Reps Project FAQs and Useful Links Webinars KU WWI Twitter Project People Faculty Staff Fellows Executive Committee Alumni Friends Alumni Update Us Donate Resources Useful Links Professional Organizations Listservs Other KU Departments Virtual Bulletin Board Conferences Libraries Stammler Library Directory of Slavic Libraries Career Exploration Search Search form Search Home About Fellows Program CREES Fellows Program CREES Fellows Adjunct Faculty Program To promote collegiality and cooperation among colleagues at KU Kansas Regents universities and other institutions of higher education in the Central Plains region the KU Center for Russian East European Eurasian Studies CREES has established a Fellows Program Current CREES Fellows Objectives The CREES Fellows Program promotes trust and collegiality among faculty members at all Regents universities and regional institutions resulting in a more closely knit community of Russian East European Eurasian scholars in Kansas and Central Plains states opportunities for CREES Fellows to present their research findings in CREES venues offering students a more diverse range of topics and opinions than they would otherwise be exposed to by KU faculty alone and providing the Fellows with a forum of peers in which to discuss their research opportunities for CREES Fellows and KU faculty to develop joint research grant and teaching projects outreach opportunities as KU faculty are invited to other institutions to make public presentations or develop joint projects assistance with application for CREES sponsored KU adjunct affiliate status for one year This status offers CREES Fellows access to a collection of over 425 000 volumes of Slavica in Watson Library special collections and rare books in the Spencer Research Library and access to special databases and other electronic research technologies Structure To apply for an appointment as a CREES Fellow and sponsored adjunct affiliate status Regional faculty and scholars should send a letter to the Director of CREES stating their academic credentials current affiliation the topic of their research current CV and the kinds of privileges they would like from the Center see list below If planning a visit to the KU campus Fellows may meet with KU Slavic librarians interact with faculty and area studies students tour the campus and visit sites in Lawrence Fellows may be invited to KU to give public lectures on their current research or projects Per KU policy CREES Fellows who are approved as an Adjunct Faculty or Researcher will be eligible for the following privileges for a specific period of time not to exceed one year A temporary KUID card KU email account Full Library access including distance access as permitted by library policy Assistance with purchasing a KU Parking pass for the duration of the visit or research program Invitations to all CREES lectures conferences events and receptions Assistance in
