    use as display boards coloring and writing tools glue or tape Activity 1 Watch the video clip about different seeds bearing fruits vegetables and plants 2 Discuss the different types of fruits vegetables and plants that are available in your classroom Review the names and general features 3 Slice open all the fruits vegetables and plants for the students Observe the number shape size and color of the seeds provided by each 4 Allow students to select one to four different slices containing seeds They then take the seeds and glue or tape them to their construction paper They should label the type of seed and even draw a picture of what it came from 5 Have students make observations about the size shape and colors of the seeds and compare those observations to the item the seed comes from What conclusions can they draw from these observations For example a student may observe that the bigger the fruit the bigger the seed Can others prove or disprove this conclusion 6 Posting these projects written questions and written conclusions would make a great classroom bulletin board Evaluation 1 Participation in student project and discussion serve as opportunities for teacher evaluation
