    internships All of which can be delivered through direct face to face delivery collaboration with other organizations or support of activities that support the goals and objectives of the WBL program The internship portion of the program is a great way for students to gain work experience in their chosen field The student s learn about the career they re interested in pursuing before getting too far in their academic career The internships also give some students the financial means to attend college Career Exploration happens in many ways including internships field trips guest speakers and self assessment self awareness The WBL meets these objectives by working with high schools education programs departments other colleges human service programs and other organizations to either provide career exploration activities or fund career exploration activities Professional Development is provided in several formats including career preparation workshops and seminars provided onsite These workshops and seminars include resume writing interview tips personal financial literacy job search tips and other related topics WBL also works with other programs and organizations to provide these types of services to students WBL Program Activities WBL Program funds many summer programs including LCOOCC Extension Youth and Community Education s Summer Youth Leadership Program or Ogiimaakaw which is a program designed for younger workers to help them understand the importance of work and education while providing them with a safe learning environment LCOOCC St Croix Summer Youth Media Camp Film Project is a summer program designed to work with high school age students to develop and produce film projects that will result in a short documentary that is entered into the yearly AHIEC completions LCOOCC Lac du Flambeau Summer College Courses that are directly designed to work with newly graduated high school students and other students LCOOCC Academic Preparedness Program is
