    working with war veterans with PTSD Registrar About Register Students Veterans Faculty Staff Forms Students Students Enrollment Verification Grades Overview GPA and Grading Scale Grade Change Transcripts Overview Official Unofficial Lambuth University FERPA and Student Educational Records Annual FERPA Notification Release of Student Education Record Changing Personal Data Withdrawing from UofM Self Service Guides Home Registrar Students Withdrawing from the University Withdrawing from UofM When you decide to withdraw completely from the University your first step should be to drop all of your courses online on or before the Last Day to Drop a Class for the term part s of term Select the appropriate Dates Deadlines calendar to find this date Do not make the mistake of thinking that you are withdrawing by simply not attending your classes You must drop the classes you have enrolled in otherwise you may receive F grades and possibly owe the University money Advising Usually you do not have to talk to your advisor simply go online and drop all of your courses However if you are a Scholarship Athlete you must have permission from the Center for Athletic Academic Services to withdraw Considerations Money Satisfy any outstanding financial obligations you may have to the University UofM will not release your transcript to another university if you still owe money here So make sure that you have paid all fines and fees that are due If you have any question as to whether you owe the University any money or why you do contact the Bursar Contracts If you have you signed a contract with either Residence Life or the Child Development Center be aware that you must contact the appropriate office about cancelling it Please review your contract and contact Residence Life or the Child Development Center if you have questions Equipment Return any equipment library books instruments uniforms etc that belongs to the University Again if you fail to do so a hold may be placed on your transcript Financial Aid Withdrawing can affect your eligibility for financial aid and your repayment schedule as well If you are receiving financial aid contact Student Financial Aid for clarification as to how withdrawal will affect your aid and repayment schedule Lottery Scholarship Once you receive a Lottery Scholarship you must continue taking classes in both the Fall and Spring semesters of each academic year in order to maintain your eligibility You do not have to attend Summer terms to maintain a Lottery Scholarship If you do not maintain this continuous enrollment you may lose your Lottery Scholarship Contact the Scholarship Office for more information Veterans Benefits Withdrawing can affect your future eligibility for veterans benefits If you are attending school through a VA program contact the University s Veterans Educational Benefits Certification Office for clarification as to how your benefits will be affected Possible Refunds You may be entitled to a partial refund of your enrollment fees depending on when you withdraw Visit the Bursar s website to determine the term s drop

  • FAQ: Transcripts on Demand (TOD) - Registrar - University of Memphis
    for these students must be mailed or picked up in person So I can request my transcript to be sent electronically Yes unless any of your courses pre date 1988 See previous question A certified pdf transcript may be sent to any recipient you choose However you must confirm that the recipient has an email address and will consider an electronic transcript to be official Is the electronic delivery option secure Your electronic transcript is delivered in an encrypted pdf format to a secure website for the recipient to access The transcript ordering process requires that you provide an email address for the intended recipient who will receive an email notification that your transcript is ready for pick up at the specific URL named in the email notification Why is electronic transcript delivery the preferred method of transcript delivery Delivery of an electronic transcript is faster and safer than using mail A mailed transcript can take two or more days to arrive at its intended destination once your request is processed by the Registrar s Office An electronic transcript can arrive at its intended destination on the same day that it is processed The processing and delivery of the transcript is tracked through the system and can tell when the transcript was received and by whom You can receive email notifications during that process as well Do I have to use a particular browser in order to use TOD TOD has been specifically designed to work with Internet Explorer Firefox and Safari It is recommended that you use the current release of one of these 3 browsers Why am I being asked to complete a FERPA release form Since you no longer have or have never had an active myMemphis portal account your identity cannot be validated through the portal FERPA regulations prevent UofM from releasing your educational records to any third party without your written consent Thus you must complete and submit the release form But completing the form is a one time requirement you will not have to complete it for subsequent requests Costs Payment How much does it cost There is a 3 00 service fee charged for each transcript destination Do I need to pay for my transcript processing before I receive my transcript Yes The service fee for Transcripts on Demand is charged when transcripts are ordered No refunds will be issued What forms of payment are accepted by Transcripts on Demand Transcripts on Demand accepts credit or debit payments through Visa MasterCard American Express or Discover Notifications Delivery How will I know if when my transcript request has been processed Upon submitting an order through Transcripts on Demand an email will be sent to you confirming that your order has been submitted If you have requested electronic delivery emails will be sent after the order is processed and when the transcript is accessed by the recipient How can I check on the current status of my transcript request You may check on the status

  • Prerequisite to Apply to Graduate - Commencement Office - University of Memphis
    of Step 2 and Step 3 Diploma Mailing Cap and Gown Form is required of all students who are applying to graduate whether or not you plan to attend the Commencement ceremony Again actual ceremony attendance and or non attendance information will be collected mid term of your graduating semester Proceed to Step Two Apply to Graduate and you are required to select a term choose the most recent term or the term in which you were last enrolled in your degree seeking program degree majors concentrations and or minors Once your application to graduate has been submitted any changes must be routed through your Graduation Analyst You can view your submitted application by selecting View Application to Graduate You must complete an application to graduate for each degree For example select the College of Arts and Sciences Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology Submit the application Return to Apply to Graduate to select your second degree complete the application and submit If you plan to graduate with more than one degree and the degrees will be completed in different terms you must complete the Diploma Mailing Cap and Gown Information form for each of the terms for example Fall 2013 for Bachelor of Arts and Spring 2014 for Bachelor of Science Requirements to Apply to Graduate For undergraduates 80 earned hours 1 95 GPA For graduates 3 00 GPA For law 55 hours 1 90 GPA Undergraduate Students If you have attended another college or university having transfer credit in UMdegree is essential for the graduation checkout to be accurate Please notify your advisor if you have missing transfer credits For further questions about academic coursework please contact your Graduation Analyst Graduate Students All degree seeking student filing for graduation are required to submit candidacy forms masters doctoral certificate program EDS Program of Study and Candidacy Form for processing by the Graduate School Signatures are required from the departmental advisor graduate studies coordinator and College Director of Graduate Studies Candidacy forms received by the College Director of Graduate Studies after the semester deadline will not be approved therefore we strongly recommend that you submit the form to your departmental advisor at least one to two weeks prior to the college directors deadline Proceed to the Graduate School website and click on Graduation Information to obtain the required form s deadlines and additional information pertaining to graduation If you have previously filed for graduation and did not meet all degree requirements it will not be necessary to submit a new candidacy form unless you have made significant changes to your degree program For further information about your academic coursework please contact the Graduate School Law Students Students must return the Law School Graduation Checklist to the Law Registrar prior to completing the Application to Graduate For further information about your academic coursework contact the Law School Registrar Important News from the Commencement Office Undergraduate Diplomas only reflect the degree and any honors distinctions and departmental honors Majors
