    MU Give Ways to Give Millikin Fund Big Blue Club Patrons Society About Faculty Staff Directory At A Glance Mission Values Millikin History Employment Accreditation University Marketing Administration Office of the President Office of the Provost Student Development Board of Trustees Faculty Staff Directory Media Newsroom Calendar of Events Video Gallery Photo Gallery Press Kit Payment Options Student Financial Services You are here Home Admission Aid Cost Aid Payment Options BILLING STATEMENTS The billing cycle for the fall semester begins in July and the billing cycle for the spring semester begins in January As a courtesy paper bills will be mailed to the student s permanent address in July and January Monthly bills will be issued electronically for any remaining balance or further activity on the student account E mail alerts of the monthly bill are sent to the student and to any authorized user on the student account Student can designate authorized users parent other relatives See steps below TO ACCESS ONLINE e BILLS Parents who are Authorized Users can see the online billing statements on the MU Account Suite Sign in with your E mail and Password To view the eBills click on eBills at the top of the page You can select the date of the statement you would like to view Students can sign into myMILLIKIN Tools Pay Bills You will see across the top of the page eBills You can select date of the statement you would like to view FINANCIAL AID Assistance Types of aid Affecting your aid Financial Aid Forms Financial Aid LOAN OPTIONS Need help paying your bill Visit our Loan Program Page DEBIT AND CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS ONLINE ONLY Effective Thursday January 2 2014 the Student Financial Services will no longer be accepting credit card payments in person or over the phone In person payments will be cash or check only If you would like to make a credit card payment you may do so online steps listed below TWO WAYS TO PAY 1 Pay total amount owed by the due dates which are the end of July Fall Semester and the end of January Spring semester 2 Pay in four monthly installments Millikin s flexible payment plan TO SET UP MONTHLY INSTALLMENT PLAN 1 Log in to myMILLIKIN 2 Choose Tools Icon right hand side of the page 3 Choose Pay Bills icon 4 Select the YES box for the Flexible Payment Plan and hit SUBMIT 5 A minimum of 100 00 is due each month on this plan Balance must be paid in full by October 31 for Fall and April 30 for Spring 6 A one time 50 processing fee will be assessed to your student account for each term of enrollment 7 Assessment of late fees 1 75 per month to the student s account if no payment received or payment received late ONLINE PAYMENTS STUDENTS ONLY Authorized users see below 1 Log in to myMILLIKIN 2 Click on Tools Icon right hand side of the page

    create a plan of study to point you in the right direction throughout your community college experience Where will I live after I transfer No matter where you re considering transferring most colleges or universities have a residence requirement even for transfer students Be sure to ask about this as you re making your plans and selecting a school that s right for you Many times transfer students make the mistake of assuming that because they have some college courses already under their belt they can live wherever they d like even off campus Don t make the mistake of renting an apartment off campus only to be fined a large sum of money for not going through the proper channels to gain official school permission to bend the residence requirement rules On the other hand many schools are quite accommodating for transfer students and realize that their housing wants and needs are somewhat different than traditional freshmen Because of this many schools offer residence life facilities that accommodate several different styles of living and are completely transfer student friendly Is there an honors program for transfer students Transfer students who are enrolled in a recognized articulation agreement with other institutions that have a Honors Program are eligible for consideration of the James Millikin Scholars program Upon admission to Millikin interested transfer Honors students may consult with the Honors Director for application and selection processes Will I get any money for school when I transfer Investing in a college education is a wise decision but a costly one The good news is that most colleges or universities will offer transfer students scholarships based upon their academic credentials both in high school and in higher education Some schools also encourage transfer students to apply to their scholarship programs i e Honors Programs Science Scholarship Programs Service Learning Scholarship Programs etc either before they are admitted or after they ve studied at the college for some time Be sure to ask what scholarships or programs are available to you Additionally transfer students can benefit from non Millikin scholarship awards such as the Phi Theta Kappa Award Should I earn an associate s degree Most of the time an associate s degree is accepted as completion of required general education studies Again it is always best to consult with the director of transfer admission at the college or school you re considering for specific transfer policies Can you suggest a transfer friendly school for me Millikin University of course Located on a 75 acre residential campus in Decatur Illinois Millikin welcomes about 150 transfer students to its campus annually If you have questions don t hesitate to contact the Office of Admission at 217 420 6751 or admis millikin edu Are D s accepted in Transfer No grades must be a C or higher Are Transfer grades included in the overall GPA No only earned credits of courses accepted are counted toward the degree Are students allowed to repeat failed courses at another
