    Sons Piano Faculty Susan Cobb D M A Adjunct Associate Professor of Music University of Oklahoma D M A University of Illinois M M University of Illinois B M PMC19 scobb millikin edu ph 217 424 6391 Teaching Duties applied piano preparatory piano Biography Dr Susan Schroeder Cobb teaches applied piano and preparatory piano at Millikin University Dr Cobb received her DMA degree from University of Oklahoma and her MM and BM degrees in piano performance from the University of Illinois An active solo and collaborative recitalist she recently performed Carnival of the Animals with duo pianist Dr Chung Ha Kim and the Millikin Decatur Symphony Chamber Orchestra She regularly performs duet recitals at the President Calvin Coolidge Museum Education Center at Plymouth Notch Vermont She has performed in Santo Domingo St Andrews in New Brunswick Canada and in Urbania Pergola Urbino and Piobbico Italy where she was director of Bella Musica Millikin in Italy summer immersion for 4 years In 2010 Dr Cobb presented a lecture at Northwest Normal University in Lanzou China She has been on the faculty of the Summer Sonatina Piano Camp in Bennington Vermont the Illinois Summer Youth Music Camp at the University of Illinois and the Millikin Piano Camp for High School Students Bruce Gibbons D M A Adjunct Professor of Music Louisiana State University D M A Colorado State University M M Colorado State University B M Ed PMC004 bgibbons millikin edu ph 217 424 3700 Teaching Duties Applied piano applied organ piano skills for vocal music ed majors accompanist for opera workshop and acting classes accompanist for area and department recitals Biography Bruce Gibbons is adjunct professor of music at Millikin University in Decatur Illinois where he teaches piano and organ and serves as pianist for opera and music theatre classes and productions He accompanies numerous student faculty and guest recitals at Millikin and has performed throughout the United States with various artists Dr Gibbons holds performance degrees from Colorado State University and Louisiana State University studying with Wendel Diebel and Jack Guerry In addition to his academic duties he is also organist at First United Methodist Church and a bassoonist with the Decatur Municipal Band Chung Ha Kim D M A Adjunct Associate Professor of Music University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music D M A University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music M M Manhattan School of Music B M PMC18 chkim millikin edu ph 217 424 6336 Teaching Duties Applied Piano Piano Pedagogy Preparatory Piano Coordinator of Class Piano Biography Born and raised in Germany Chung Ha Kim began piano studies at the age of 6 She became a student of Prof Barbara Szczepanska and continued piano studies with her in the pre college division of the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf After graduating from the Kardinal von Galen Gymnasium in Münster Hiltrup Chung Ha Kim moved to the United States and successfully completed a Bachelor of Music in New York and a Master of Music and a doctorate
