  • Molloy College - Current Board Bios
    worked for Selfhelp and Catholic Charities as well as maintained a private practice She specializes in the treatment of senior citizens and adolescents Mary volunteered as a Crisis Counselor for the Diocese of Rockville Centre to assist 9 11 survivors and their families In addition she has been a volunteer for the Girl Scouts of Nassau County American Red Cross St Agnes Mothers Club and Home School Association Meals on Wheels and St Agnes Parish Outreach Center She has served as a member of the St Agnes Hospitality Ministry and is presently a member of the St Agnes Eucharistic Ministry SHANNON BURDEN 14 Shannon Burden is running for her first term as Representative at Large Shannon graduated from Molloy College in 2014 with a B A in history and philosophy with a minor concentration in marketing While at Molloy she served two terms as Gaelic Society President one term as the IMPACT Magazine Editor of Molloy Student Media one term as the Publicity Chairperson of Molloy s second annual Relay for Life and most notably she served as Public Relations Coordinator of Molloy Student Government her senior year where she created print and electronic ads to publicize upcoming events around campus as well as the monthly Stall Talk informational flyers Shannon currently works as an Account Executive at Spark451 a creative marketing firm who primarily work with colleges universities with their enrollment marketing strategies Shannon is passionate about her work in both marketing and public relations specifically in branding creative solutions and event planning and she is excited to bring her interests and strengths to the Molloy College Alumni Association ROBERTA GORBY 66 is serving her second term as a Representative at Large the same position she was appointed to in February 2012 She majored in History and English at Molloy She taught English and social studies in public and parochial schools for seven years after graduation and earned an M A in history at St John s University Later she completed a B S in nursing at Adelphi University and a M S in child health at SUNY Stony Brook Roberta practiced nursing in a variety of settings and especially enjoyed her time as a nurse with the Visiting Nurse Service of New York and as a pediatric nurse practitioner After retiring from nursing Roberta went to work for the Department of Homeland Security as an officer in Citizenship and Immigration Services She has two adopted sons from Brazil who are also Molloy alumni William Robert 11 and David Joseph 12 LORETTA HAHN 11 MBA 12 seeks her first term as a Representative at Large the same position she was appointed to in May 2013 While at Molloy Loretta was very active on campus She was on Student Government for three years and was elected Treasurer in 2010 While Treasurer Loretta served as student representative on the Financial Resources Committee Loretta was also elected the first President of the Student Ambassadors for Molloy College as well as being team

    highlighting the lives and careers of alumni in 2005 These profiles are designed to recognize exceptional alumni who make a difference either by making achievements in his her chosen field philanthropy balancing work and life or showing a true commitment to the community and is thereby living the Dominican Tradition of Molloy College and the Alumni Association To view past Alumni Profiles click here Elizabeth Kunz Moshkovich LCSW Class of 1999 Social Work Major Fordham Molloy Class of 200 0 Liz writes I have had such an exciting career in the rewarding field of Social Work My career began in medical social work I spent six intense and exciting years at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center which is categorized a Trauma 1 hospital Looking to being closer to home after the birth of my first son I accepted a position with Nassau University Medical Center where I was the social worker for one of the outlying health Centers I was also their first bilingual LCSW s I spent over seven years being a social worker for Roosevelt Family Health Center This past year I wanted to explore other areas in the field of social work and am presently employed with Catholic Charities Mental Health I have always kept my connection with Molloy College as I feel Molloy is my home In 2003 I received the Social Worker Making a Difference Award I have served as Field Supervisor participate in the Social Work Alumni Board served as Cap Stone Evaluator and for the past four years I have been teaching the Introduction to the Profession of Social Work class I look forward to my future both personally and professionally as I am married 11 years with three beautiful and energetic boys and am currently exploring Ph D programs in Social Work Experience
