    Frank and Gertrude Art Gallery at Molloy College will exhibit the work of the Long Island Black Artists Association in honor of Charles Winslow a past president and a founding member of the group Winslow as he liked to be called died this spring and this exhibition is dedicated to his love of Art and his long time association and the group s association with Molloy College The Long Island Black Artists Association is one of the oldest arts organizations in existence on Long Island and has over 400 members at times Artists will include BA Djibril Ngawa Brent Bailer David Wilson Deborah Corbin Young Dorris Campbell Ethel Washington Galvin Bisserup James Whitten Kenneth Smith Maxine Townsend Broderick Neil Williams Olita Jenkins Rebecca Fowler and Rosa Hanna Scott The public is invited to attend the opening reception in honor of Winslow on Sunday July 13 2014 where the artists will be present We are also establishing the Charles Winslow Memorial Prize for Excellence in Fine Art that hopefully will be given at all other venues by the group Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday for the months of July and August For additional information please email artgallery molloy edu or call 516 323 3196 Molloy College Graduating Bachelors of Fine Arts and Bachelors of Science in Visual Arts Education This Is It May 4 to June 27 2014 The Frank and Gertrude Kaiser Art Gallery is proud to present This Is It an exhibition of the senior projects of graduating Fine Arts majors and Visual Arts Education majors at Molloy College The exhibition will be on view from May 4 through June 27 2014 Artists are Thomas Agostino Jennifer Breidenbach Jane Cowan Theresa Hempstead Luke Merz Michele Meskill Danielle Multari Jenna Picone Richard Rodriguez Karen Ross Jacquelyn Russo Alexandria Sabatino and Lazaro Sepulveda The opening reception is scheduled for Sunday May 4 from 1 p m until 3 p m in the Frank and Gertrude Kaiser Art Gallery located on the second floor of the Public Square room 280 at Molloy College The public is invited to attend Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 10 a m to 6 p m and Saturday from 10 a m to 5 p m The gallery will be closed from April 17 to April 22 and on Memorial Day For additional information call 516 323 3196 or email artgallery molloy edu Edwin Ruda The Band Paintings 1969 1972 March 6 April 28 2014 The Frank and Gertrude Kaiser Art Gallery at Molloy College is proud to partner with Berry Campbell Gallery in Chelsea to exhibit Edwin Ruda The Band Paintings including paintings and works on paper from 1969 to 1972 Through the efforts and generosity of Christine Berry and Martha Campbell the Kaiser Art Gallery has been fortunate enough to travel the Ruda exhibition Unafraid to step beyond stylistic boundaries Edwin Ruda consistently probed the incongruities and connections between minimalism and the geometric and lyrical modes of abstraction Ruda s band paintings embody
