    teams that presented at this year s Undergraduate Research and Design Symposium on April 27th This is an annual event that is open to the public so make plans to attend next year If you have a project that you would like a team of students to tackle for you please see the project guidelines on 2012 ECE Capstone Projects Check out all the senior engineering and computer science capstone project websites some back as far as 1996 Graduate students have a variety of research opportunities including teaching and research assistantships and fellowships WE NEED PROJECTS for Fall 2013 Consider helping educate students by providing a challenging project See how below Scope of work Projects are initiated in the fall semester and concluded in early May Student teams present their work at the college s annual UndergraduateResearch and Design symposium scheduled for April 26 2013 If appropriate the team may also deliver a prototype design plans or a completed product Get involved sponsor a team As a company member of the community or individual in the engineering space we look to you to help propose projects Your proposals give students a one of a kind learning opportunity on problems you would like to see addressed while fostering relationships with potential employees A brief description including the knowledge and skills needed of the proposed project is due on September 1 You will be notified if your project is chosen in late September Projects should include opportunities for students to learn and apply new technical or interdisciplinary skills analyze and make trade offs incorporate contemporary issues apply project management methods Sponsor commitment details As a sponsor you must be committed to providing a learning experience and be willing to communicate on a regular and timely basis with your student team are asked
