    DSW 122 8am to 5pm 15 of 16 EB1 B04 7am to 7pm EB3 2108 24 7 New Lab 36 of 54 2 of 14 MN 306 8am to 10pm 27 of 34 MN 320 8am to 10pm 11 of 14 MRC 300 8am to 5pm 0 of 3 Last Updated at 7 59 28 pm Be sure to check ahead for Holiday Hours and Exceptions Who can use the labs Students must be enrolled in at least one engineering course to use Eos labs ITECS is responsible for all workstations equipment in the labs and collaboratories and for hiring and managing help desk staff Academic departments are responsible for the space rooms in which the equipment is housed WolfPrint is responsible for maintenance and support of lab printers Students are responsible for following Lab Policy Late night Labs Available on Main Centennial Campus Need to work late at night See our schedule above Daniels 226 and 243 labs and the 228 collaboratory are open 8am midnight We also have a 24 hour lab in EB3 on Centennial Campus holiday exceptions apply Access to EB3 is via the North entrance For an Eos lab consultant on duty please call 513

    administration and research All web lockers must be organized under one of our hosted domains and must be requested by the domain webmaster Get Web Space afs eos engrwww sites vhost locker Ten Things You Should Know Before You Build Course web space is handled through Wolfware and other Learning Management Systems although faculty can serve web content for classes from personal web space see below Personal File and Web Space Engineering students faculty and staff can request and own personal or people lockers under http people engr ncsu edu Get Personal file and web space afs eos lockers people a z unityid Locker Management Locker Portal Because managing locker access and quota at the command line can be tedious and time consuming ITECS developed the Locker Portal web tool for this purpose As a result running fs and afs commands is NOT required or recommended If you are the locker owner a list of the lockers you own and instructions for adding and removing people to from groups are at locker portal site at http www eos ncsu edu lockers portal You can also request additional quota and perform other routine locker maintenance tasks A locker is a logically collected set of AFS volumes with its own quota and access control list ACL Paths to lockers always begin with afs on Windows lab and administrative computers afs is mapped to the J drive However locker paths branch into different parts of the AFS file tree depending on how the locker needs to be configured for use For example web locker space is configured for access by web servers whereas non web AFS space is not Engineering lockers are in afs eos lockers and afs eos engrwww and supported by ITECS Wolfware course lockers are also in afs eos courses

    most common uses of remote access are for file transfer copying files between a user s computer and the campus AFS file system running applications accessing campus computers to run software for class homework research etc A high speed broadband connection is recommended to perform either of these tasks particularly if you are transferring large or multiple files or if the applications you run are complex and graphically intensive Connection over the campus wireless network is supported but usually slower How Do I Connect No matter what operating system you are using on your local computer there is a way to access Remote Access resources Below you will find details for each of the major three operating systems on performing the various tasks of transferring files using VCL to access Windows or Linux applications or using the College of Engineering Remote Access Servers to access Linux or Solaris applications Instructions by Operating System Windows Use ExpanDrive or WinSCP to transfer files between your PC and NCSU file space or login to VCL to run NCSU Software Learn More Mac OS X Using OS X 10 4 Tiger or later Connect to NCSU file space with ExpanDrive or login to VCL
