  • North Dakota University System: NDUS Centers of Excellence : Centers of Research Excellence (Core) Funding
    and universities utilize their own process to determine which three proposals are submitted for consideration by the Centers of Excellence Commission Each proposal must contain the college or university president s signature December 2 2011 According to State Board of Higher Education policy colleges and universities are required to submit a brief synopsis to the Chancellor of any applications they plan to submit January 3 2012 Deadline for submission of proposals to be considered January 3 20 2012 Commerce staff conducts completeness and compliance review of the applications Applications found to be incomplete or in noncompliance with statute and or Commission policy will be disqualified January 3 27 2012 Commerce staff conducts due diligence on the applications including visiting with applicants and private sector partners when appropriate January 20 2012 Proposals found to be complete and in compliance are forwarded to Commission for review January 27 2012 Due diligence report from the Department of Commerce forwarded to Commission for review February 1 3 2012 Commission conference call meeting to determine if any independent expert reviews or additional due diligence is needed February 8 2012 Presentations from applicants on Centers of Research Excellence proposals before the Centers of Excellence Commission February

    Council Campus Councils Consortium for Substance Abuse Prevention NDUS Home North Dakota University System NDUS Councils College Technical Education Council College Technical Education Council The College Technical Education Council was established by the State Board for Career and Technical Education and the State Board of Higher Education to improve the coordination collaboration and effectiveness of career and technical education and training at all levels in North Dakota and increase effectiveness and efficiency in program delivery The CTEC formulates and recommends policies and procedures relating to career and technical education in postsecondary institutions develops goals programs and communication strategies and considers financial elements of these strategies with regard to its mission CTEC members include the Director of Systemwide Student Entry Transfer and Retention the four University System community college presidents the Campus Dean of Dakota College at Bottineau and the Director and Executive Officer of the North Dakota Department of Career and Technical Education The council meets about nine times a year For more information contact Lisa Johnson 701 858 3494 College Technical Education Council Members Lisa Johnson Director of Systemwide Student Entry Transfer and Retention Meeting facilitator North Dakota University System Larry C Skogen President Bismarck State College Jerry Migler
