to admit that I like and watch them My obsession with the franchise however remains undiminished I love analyzing the contestants trying to figure out whose feelings are real and who s lying for the cameras speculating about whether events are engineered by the show s producers or not and looking at all the nice clothes The contestants may not always really love each other but don t doubt my love for the Bachelor franchise Chantel Grant features editor said Laguna Beach I am dying of laughter just writing this but I was in love with a TV show on MTV called Laguna Beach It was a reality show that followed a group of privileged teens who lived in Laguna Beach Calif Each episode was filled with gossip and blonde hair being flipped in frustration I heard the words like and oh my gosh so often that I had to turn off the closed captions The main character was Lauren Conrad and her arch nemesis was Kristin Cavallari The two were at odds over a surfer named Stephen I was so obsessed with the show that I told my parents I wanted to get blonde extensions like Kristen and Lauren Also all I wanted to wear were denim skirts flip flops and off white tank tops because Lauren and Kristen were always dressed that way The worst part is I tried to talk like them and it sounded ridiculous with my Jamaican accent Anyway I cried when they graduated from high school and vowed to move to Laguna Beach so I could be close to the cast Now that I am bit older I think the show was the dumbest thing ever especially since I found out it was all staged I can t even stomach the thought of watching re runs but back then no one could come between me and Laguna Beach Erin Herbert sports editor said Breaking Amish I typically don t watch much television but in high school I was shamelessly hooked on TLC s Breaking Amish The reality show follows a group of Amish teenagers who leave their strict lifestyles in an Amish community to go to New York and experience life as regular teens The show is absolutely hilarious because commonplace things such as going to the beach or going clubbing are so foreign to the teens and they have no idea how to handle these situations But watching awkward Amish teenagers trying to navigate life in New York City isn t even the best part of the show it s the drama Each episode one of the cast members inevitably dropped a new bombshell which fuels fights and drama The show is completely ridiculous but that s what makes it so addicting Whenever I m flipping through the channels and land on a re run of Breaking Amish I just have to watch and re live the drama Roddia Paul opinions editor said Flavor of Love I usually try my hardest to shy

Jazmyn Brown copy editor said Rapunzel and Flynn from Tangled Out of all the Disney fairy tale relationships Rapunzel and Flynn s has to be my favorite Watching Tangled it s not hard to notice how Flynn Rider transforms from conniving ruffian to caring sentimental hero The scene in which Flynn tells Rapunzel about his real name is so pure and sweet and innocent it was the first time that Flynn really opened up to her And then there was their duet among the lanterns one of the most heartbreakingly beautiful scenes in the movie Rapunzel headstrong and independent and fearless doesn t necessarily rely on Flynn throughout the movie but the two become the perfect pair in the end they save each other Carli Lutz chief of visual design said music artists Rian Dawson and Cassadee Pope My favorite celebrity couple is without a doubt Rian Dawson and Cassadee Pope Rian Dawson is the drummer of All Time Low and Cassadee Pope won The Voice a few years back she used to sing in a band I obsessed over called Hey Monday When I saw All Time Low a couple years ago I got the chance to hang out with Rian backstage and when I asked him about Cassadee he just couldn t stop talking about how proud he was of her It was the most precious thing in the world and I will ship them forever and ever Amanda Kaplan multimedia manager said Carrie Bradshaw and Mr Big from Sex and the City Anybody who has ever watched or has even heard of Sex and the City knows who the infamous Carrie and Big are From their ups and downs trials and tribulations boyfriends girlfriends marriages alcohol and NYC there was nothing their relationship hadn t been through After years and years of on again off again they ended up living happily ever after Side note The show s creator did not want them to end up together Neither did I Their imperfect relationship made them perfect It was realistic and almost every woman could relate to something the couple had been through In real life who knows if they both would have ever been able to commit But I am happy they ended up together after all life had to throw at them They will forever be my favorite on screen couple P S I m still hoping to wake up and have Carrie s NYC apartment Erin Herbert sports editor said Westley and Buttercup from The Princess Bride I m not usually one to admit that I like lovey dovey couples in movies but when it comes to Westley and Buttercup in The Princess Bride I honestly can t help myself The way the two fall in love is so cliché yet so simple and sweet that it s guaranteed that my heart will melt every time I hear as you wish Through a series of misadventures and even death the two manage to stay madly

Then a week later I spoke to their coach and I ended up there for a year After my first year I wasn t really too happy there so I reached out and kind of just ended up talking to Coach Tuell I ve been happy ever since What do you think is the most difficult part of playing basketball Probably bringing it on the floor every night You can t just have an off night or have a mental lapse or just take a day off If you come to the game especially in this league and do that you re going to get beaten pretty badly So coming in with the energy and intensity every night to win is probably the hardest thing What has been the most rewarding part of playing basketball Seeing my teammates succeed is what I enjoy the most Even from the higher levels here to the level of playing back home with my family and friends I love seeing how excited they get to play and what kind of success they have How would you describe yourself as an athlete As an athlete I m probably not very well liked by other teams or other coaches I ve always been kind of the hard nosed guy who leaves it all on the floor and I wear my emotions on my sleeve I ve taken that role on for my entire career but I ve enjoyed that role I concentrate on the game but I also get very energetic and play with a big high passion so that s probably my role on the team Have you had any coaches who have influenced you during your basketball career Back home I used to find it hard to say no to people because once you have a little bit of success people start to come out of the woodwork and want to talk to you but I came to the realization that there were only a few people whom I really needed to have in my life Obviously my parents but Jim Arkell and Robbie McKinlay as well McKinlay actually used to coach over here in the same conference as Coach Tuell but he coaches back home now and we re still really close My high school coach Arkell is still very close to me too What has been your greatest achievement as an athlete At my first school we made it to the Final Four and that was a lot of fun But there have been a lot of achievements over the years that I ve been pretty excited about and enjoyed In high school we played against our cross town rival who we hadn t played in years and we came in and beat them That was pretty amazing It s always nice to win Are there any professional athletes whom you look up to Kawhi Leonard I love how he plays the game When he s out on the floor you won
