    C 2 33 C 2 00 Satisfactory C 1 67 D 1 00 Poor F 0 00 Failing P Pass in a pass fail course W Authorized withdrawl I Incomplete or unauthorized withdrawl becomes I F if not corrected Note An A is awarded in an exceptional circumstance and the grade appears on the students transcript as an A However it is an honorary distinction that is not calculated into the student s grade point average An A is not awarded for class participation Upon graduation students may receive the following honorific designations summa cum laude 3 80 to 4 00 magna cum laude 3 60 to 3 79 cum laude 3 25 to 3 59 HONORS Dean s Scholars are those outstanding third year students chosen by the Dean to work as teaching assistants They conduct weekly academic support classes for first year students that focus on legal analysis and exam preparation In addition to offering weekly study sessions Dean s Scholars hold weekly office hours During this time the Dean s Scholar is available for individual mentoring and study skills assistance Dean s Scholars also administer and critique sample exam questions throughout the semester as well as one full practice exam at the end of the semester The Federal Judicial Honors Program places outstanding students selected by a faculty clerkship committee in the chambers of a federal jude for one semester and provides a preparatory semester of one on one work with a faculty mentor focusing on a written assignment Students work closely with the judge and the law clerks in researching and writing memoranda of law on issues pending before the court and observe courtroom proceedings In addition to a weekly seminar students are required to meet in tutorials several times a semester to review their independant

    provides funds for students working at unpaid summer internships ranging from direct legal services to margenalized communities to international human rights to district attorneys offices to environmental advocacy Our Pro Bono Justice Program offers opportunities for students to get off campus and into the community where they provide legal assistance in areas ranging from mortgage foreclosure and predatory lending to domestic violence consumer credit and community legal education Our Staff Elyse Moskowitz Esq Director Public Interest Careers 914 422 4219 Elyse is the Associate Director for Counseling and Professional Development as well as an Adjunct Professor of Law teaching Topics in Legal Theory The Second Circuit each fall and spring semester In the Center for Career Professional Development Elyse provides counseling to students and alumni who are interested in careers in the public and private sector and assists them in identifying internships and post graduate positions in federal state and local government in prosecuting offices at private firms and in corporate settings Elyse also creates and updates specialized career guides including Pace s Guide to Legal Careers in Government conducts professional development programs and career panels handles administrative responsibilities in the CCPD and writes about career and professional development issues Elyse received her JD cum laude from Fordham Law School where she was a member of the FORDHAM LAW REVIEW Elyse joined Pace Law School as an Adjunct Professor of Law in 2001 teaching Pre Trial Civil Litigation Simulation and for several years Criminal Law and Legal Writing and Analysis Prior to joining Pace Elyse spent three years as a full time faculty non tenured member at Suffolk Law School in Boston Massachusetts where she taught Legal Practice Skills Elyse started her legal career as a litigation associate at large law firms in New York and Boston Leigh Ann Enyame

    School Web Mail Pace University Search form Search You are here Home Students Financial Aid Services Financial Aid 101 What are my financial aid options In addition to merit and need based scholarships offered by Pace Law School there are several additional resources available to students who need help paying their law school tuition Grants are financial awards made through Pace or the government and generally do not need to be repaid You may also be eligible for the Federal Work Study Program another way to help pay for school without adding to your debt To finance the remainder of your tuition not covered by grants and scholarships you may seek a combination of federal and private loans What is the first step to securing financial aid To be eligible for financial aid you must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid FAFSA Pace Law School s code is 002727 Pace recommends that you fill out FAFSA by February 15th of the year in which you intend to enroll That means that once you begin filling out admissions applications you should also be filling out FAFSA and researching other financial aid opportunities Be sure to check all aid application deadlines immediately to give yourself adequate time to prepare all required documents and complete your applications How does my credit history affect financial aid The importance of maintaining a good credit rating cannot be underestimated Most private lenders will not lend money to students with a low credit rating Before applying for a private loan you should check your credit rating by ordering a credit report which can be requested free once a year This will allow you to correct any mistakes and clear up any problems with your credit report You may order a report online at annualcreditreport
