    Give to Pace Law School Web Mail Pace University Search form Search You are here Home Faculty Adjunct Faculty Kenneth F Coughlin Corporate Law Externship Program BA Economics University of Massachusetts Amherst JD Columbia University School of Law Ken Coughlin has practiced as an in house lawyer for several multinational companies for the last thirty years most recently as Senior Vice President Law for Sony Electronics in Park Ridge after spending several years as a litigator with the Sills Cummis law firm in Newark He has extensive experience in counseling business people in legal matters affecting their day to day activities negotiating and drafting agreements and other commercial documents closing business and intellectual property acquisitions and dispositions and equity investments establishing joint ventures and other strategic alliances and litigating administrative law matters and managing all types of commercial litigation Ken has also been active in numerous pro bono activities including establishing and running Sony Electronics Law Department s award winning pro bono program and working on numerous client matters for Legal Services of New Jersey the Pro Bono Partnership and the former Bergen County Legal Services He regularly lectures on legal matters of interest to non profits and is a

    responsible parties in site remediation and cleanup negotiations and counsels corporate and individual clients on compliance with all the environmental statutes Previously Professor Davis was a partner in Huber Lawrence Abell in New York City for 12 years Prior to his return to private practice Professor Davis practiced environmental law in the law departments of Revlon Inc and the Celanese Corporation During the more than 30 years he has specialized in the area Professor Davis has worked in just about every area of environmental health and safety law He has taught Environmental Law in Commercial Transactions at Pace since 2003 Professor Davis is recognized as one of the country s leading specialists in Superfund and hazardous waste site remediation and in counseling clients on environmental aspects of corporate transactions In his practice Professor Davis provides advice on a variety of environmental issues to clients in utility chemicals manufacturing and real estate fields He regularly counsels clients on the effect of environmental regulation on business and real estate transactions such as mergers acquisitions and sales and refinancing of real property and represents clients in environmental enforcement proceedings and cleanup activities He often conducts environmental audits and due diligence reviews for transactional purposes and counsels corporate clients on development of environmental programs Professor Davis is Vice Chair of the American Bar Association s Section of Environmental Energy and Resources Law SEER He will become Section Chair in August 2016 Prior to becoming Vice Chair Professor Davis served as SEER s Publications Officer served a three year term on the Section Council and chaired SEER s Committees on Site Remediation and Environmental Transactions and Brownfields Professor Davis received his J D from Harvard University in 1975 and his B A Summa cum laude in 1972 from Wesleyan University where he was elected to

    Fordham University in 1985 Mark did what anyone in his position with no real job prospects and tired of working in nightclubs would do he left The Bronx and attended law school at the University of Pittsburgh After serving roughly ten years as a state and federal prosecutor Mark moved into private practice specializing in criminal defense Since1999 he has represented numerous clients in federal and state courts In addition to New York he has represented clients charged in Maine Pennsylvania Texas and Florida and his practice has landed him in places such as Bly Oregon Georgetown Guyana and Stockholm Sweden He is a member of the CJA Panels in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the Homicide Panel of the Assigned Counsel Plan in The Bronx Recently he has served as counsel in numerous high profile cases including United States v Richard Gotti an alleged member of the Gambino crime family United States v Oussama Kassir who was charged with being a member of and providing material support to al Qaeda and United States v Abdelghani Meskini an alleged co conspirator in the Millennium Bombing plot In addition to currently serving as trial counsel on two
