    Mail Pace University Search form Search You are here Home Faculty Adjunct Faculty William H Rosvally BBA Pace University JD and LLM Pace Law School Professor William Rosvally has a variety of specialties that make him an eclectic wealth of information Professor Rosvally holds a BBA degree in Accounting a JD and an LLM in Environmental Law with a concentration in Climate Change In addition he is certified as a Computer Hacking Investigator and a Computer Forensic Examiner He is also the co founder of Forensic E Discovery Ltd which is engaged in Computer Forensics and Electronic Discovery After years of private practice Professor Rosvally worked as a Law Clerk and Court Attorney in the New York State Court System He has considerable experience from both sides of the bench in Litigation and Contract Law In addition he has experience working in Environmental Law specializing in the Power Industry with particular emphasis on Energy Efficiency and Demand Management Professor Rosvally currently instructs Contract Law in the LLM Comparative Legal Studies Program and Electronic Discovery in the JD program Professor Rosvally enjoys participating in shaping the next generation of attorneys through his teachings In his spare time he also presents professional

    and Land Use Practice Group representing both private entities and governmental agencies in a wide variety of environmental and land use matters Mr Sachs also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Pace University School of Law where for over 25 years he has taught courses on State and Municipal Environmental Law Land Use and Construction Law Mr Sachs is a graduate of Cornell University and received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania He has a Masters of Law from New York University Mr Sachs previously clerked for a federal judge in the Southern District of New York and served as an Assistant General of the State of New York and Deputy Chief of its Environmental Protection Bureau for five years Mr Sachs formerly served as the Town Attorney of the Town of Greenburgh the largest Town in Westchester County and presently serves as Special Land Use and Environmental Counsel to municipalities in Westchester Putnam Dutchess Rockland Orange and Ulster Counties He is a frequent speaker before Bar Association groups on various environmental and land use topics Mr Sachs previously served as a Representative to the House of Delegates of the New York State Bar Association He is the present Chair of the Real Property Law Section and a past Chair of the Environmental Law Section of the State Bar Association Mr Sachs is a member of the New York State Bar Association Task Force on Eminent Domain and also serves on the New York State Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Committee It should be noted that Mr Sachs is one of the few attorneys in the New York State Bar Association who has chaired two separate Sections of the State Bar Association Several years ago Mr Sachs was Chair of the Environmental Law Section and this year he

    B S 60 Minutes as Little Abscam his Resident Agency s work helped expose corruption in the school system leading to the conviction and sentencing of several school board members and the superintendent of schools But perhaps most noteworthy was his participation in the apprehension of Leon Johnson who was to be placed on the FBI s top ten most wanted fugitives list on the day of his capture who had escaped from Federal prison and was wanted for kidnapping and assault After a brief stay with Banker s Trust Company as an Assistant Vice President in 1984 Judge Scarpino at the age of thirty two was appointed Associate City Court Judge of Mount Vernon by the late Mayor Thomas E Sharpe He was the youngest Judge in Mount Vernon s history In 1985 running with the support of the Democratic Republican and Conservative parties he was elected City Judge In 1986 he became Senior City Judge presiding on one of the busiest courts in the County In November 1988 Judge Scarpino was elected Westchester County Court Judge on the Democratic line At thirty seven he was the youngest County Court Judge in Westchester s history In July 1989 he was appointed Acting Supreme Court Justice and was assigned to expand the Special Narcotics Part in the Westchester County Courthouse In July 1991 he was reassigned and presided over the most serious criminal cases occurring in Westchester County In 1993 he was elected to the New York State Supreme Court for the Ninth Judicial District which covers Westchester Rockland Dutchess Putnam and Orange counties He was assigned to Rockland County and Westchester County handling Civil Parts In February 1998 he was assigned to the Special Matrimonial Part In 1999 he was reassigned to handle both criminal and civil cases In

  • Paula J. Schauwecker | Pace Law School
    Schauwecker served as a law clerk to the Honorable Nina Gershon United States District Judge in the Eastern District of New York She received her law degree from Pace University School of Law J D summa cum laude 2002 and earned a certificate in environmental law While in law school Paula was a research and writing editor on the Pace Environmental Law Review and a research assistant and the community liaison at the Land Use Law Center She was awarded the New York State Bar Association Student Legal Ethics Award in 2000 and the White Plains Bar Association Environmental Law Scholar Award in 2002 Ms Schauwecker received her undergraduate degree in business and environmental studies from the State University of New York Empire State College and a certificate of environmental management from Purchase College She earned a Masters of Environmental Management from Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies where her research focused on wetland analysis and restoration and its relationship to land use Paula participated in and acted as a facilitator for the Pace Law School Community Leadership Alliance Training Program which trains local elected officials and volunteer leaders in methods of land use regulation and environmental conservation She also co developed and co taught along with John R Nolon of Pace Law School a graduate course on local environmental law and land use practices in Connecticut at Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies Ms Schauwecker is currently an Adjunct Professor of Law at Pace Law School Ms Schauwecker has served on numerous volunteer boards and committees related to land use water quality and conservation including the Town Village of Harrison New York Planning Board the Town Village of Harrison Environmental Advisory Committee the Westchester County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Directors Watershed Advisory
