  • Veterans Education Benefits
duty veterans who qualify for benefits under the Post 9 11 GI Bill may transfer their benefits to their dependent spouse and children While using a GI Bill course fees are not automatically billed to the VA for payment The VA will only cover fees that are directly associated with tuition and attendance at the College For instance the technology fee sustainability fee and activity fee Once we confirm which courses fit into your degree requirements we must review an itemization of the fees and remove anything related to camping park entrance fees college vehicle use transportation housing and other miscellaneous items listed While you are enjoying the flexibility and creativity Prescott College PC offers please keep in mind that you or a loved one have earned some amazing education benefits that require following rigid rules Here are some reminders that will help you bridge that gap and get the most out of your Veterans Administration VA benefits at Prescott College TOPICS VA Vocational Rehabilitation Know How Much Benefit You Have Remaining All VEB Recipients Must Be Degree Seeking Submit All Transcripts and Avoid Retaking Classes Finalize Your Schedule and Complete Contracts as Soon as Possible Updated Degree Plans Are Required at All Times Think Twice Before Ceasing to Attend a Class or Officially Withdrawing From a Class Inquire About Expensive Course Fees If information plus VA Payment History When you have less than a year of benefits remaining please email the eBenefits screen shot to the PC Veterans Certifying Official All Student Veterans Must Be Degree Seeking Submit All Transcripts and Avoid Retaking Courses Unless an NC Grade or F was Received The VA requires all students to be efficiently working toward a degree During the application process you must supply all military and prior college transcripts to Prescott College regardless of how prior courses were paid for The PC Registrar is required to evaluate submitted transcripts and accept for transfer as many credits as school policy allows Do not register for courses you have already taken unless you received No Credit NC or F the first time The VA will pay for you to take a course with an NC once They will not pay a third time if you were unsuccessful twice They will not pay to ret ake courses even if you agree to be a TA the second time VA auditors have access to and often review all veterans files If they see that you have retaken a course inappropriately you will owe a debt back to the VA If the VA Certifying Official catches it she must report it to the VA assuming it will be found in the next audit anyway Finalize Your Schedule and Complete Contracts As Soon As Possible The school cannot certify report enrollment or bill the VA for the term if you have
