dance around in your head all day Paper Days consists of Niko Sitars Jordan Graham Nate Blake and Xander Sitars These guys know how to rock out by singing sweet melodies along with their happy go lucky guitar riffs complementing their style so well I would describe them as a combination of Young the Giant and Best Coast because of their love of the California lifestyle Now the moment I fell in love with their happy sounds was when I watched their official music video for the song Kind Guidance The guitar melody in the beginning is like an invitation to a cheerful story and the melody is infectious throughout the entire song I couldn t help but dance around And let s talk about Niko Sitars voice and ranging pitches it s mesmerizing to say the least Lastly about their Kind Guidance official music video the locations are shot all around San Diego like the busy streets of the Gaslamp District It s great to see local bands promoting their own city They have played at venues all over their hometown such as Soma San Diego Music Thing Carlsbad Music Festival and at the legendary Ché Café Collective Creature and Golden are also in the running as my new favorite song These two songs feel a little lower and slower but the lyrics really bring it together and the drums are a constant reminder that dancing is encouraged On their Soundcloud you can listen to their EP titled Playground Dreams EP I could only imagine their concerts are full of love and happy respect for everyone around The moment I heard those infectious heavy rhythms and sweet lyrics I knew I was in You guys should give them a like on their Facebook and let s get them to a 1 000 likes they re so close And check out their songs on Soundcloud below Good luck Paper Days and I can t wait to see you live Photo Credit Katie Johnson KCR Blog KCR Music california kcr college radio paper days Rock and Roll San Diego san diego music A State Of Rave What We re All About February 28 2015 Sarah Walsh The Scene Welcome fellow ravers and music lovers of all types A State of Rave is a radio show that we have created specifically for the newest EDM of today EDM or electronic dance music is often criticized and misunderstood in society which has earned it a bad reputation in the public eye It is often put down because of false accusations of talentless DJs getting famous from just a computer and for its connection to a drug scene We are here to prove these misconceptions wrong and reveal to the world why it still continues to grow and prosper We want to show the positive ideals and experiences that come from this music and encourage others to make these amazing memories as well Our one hour show Mondays at 9pm will consist of all

  • The Goldmine-Houses of the Holy by Led Zeppelin - KCR College Radio
back to his 6 string with both electric and acoustic overdubs and an extended outro It was released as the single to promote the record backed by Dancing Days as the B Side Over the Hills and Far Away like The Song Remains the Same became a concert staple and a popular radio hit It is one of the best examples of Led Zeppelin s acoustically styled writings brought forth from Plant and Page s vacations at Bron Yr Aur in the Welsh mountains The last song on the first side is The Crunge a James Brown styled funky jam A short and comparatively trivial song when held next to the first three songs on the album The Crunge was derided by critics early when the album was released as more of a joke However the song was a band favorite even though they never played it live and one of the most lighthearted songs on a very fun and lighthearted album Side B The second side starts off with Dancing Days another fun song with light if not a little quirky lyrics Dancing Days could be considered the most generic song on the album a mid tempo rocker with some interesting guitar and organ melodies While it s the closest thing to filler on the album you can hear it on the radio all over still which is a testament to the strength of the songs on the record The second song on the second side is D yer Mak er which was also the second single released on the album It s pronounced D jer Make er after a joke with a punchline mimicking the pronunciation of Jamaica with an accent The song was written in reggae dub style and is credited to all band members Along with The Crunge D yer Mak er is one of the songs singled out by critics and fans as more disposable because it didn t fit Zeppelin s sound Nevertheless the track is very catchy and all band members give it their best Following this up in the complete opposite musical spectrum is No Quarter A moody and murky piece the song features Page s guitar playing one of his heaviest and dirtiest riffs and one of his most melodic and subtle guitar solos of his storied career But No Quarter really belongs to John Paul Jones whose keyboard expertise on synthesizer and piano truly makes the song great It was his dream sequence song in The Song Remains the Same Stop me if you ve heard it before but No Quarter became a live staple featuring Jones playing extended keyboard solos stretching the 7 minute song to an epic 20 plus minutes From drummer John Bonham s countdown to start the song to the very end of the feedback fading out The Ocean is everything an album closing song should be The track is four and a half minutes of unbridled joy dedicated to the band s legions of fans

the got a lump in my throat bit in the lyrics If you watch the video again you ll notice around 2 49 the video has the lyrics at the bottom for you But wait They re obviously incorrect Yet another literal play on the lyrics of the song I know that there is a lot more to this video that I have yet to either notice or understand yet but I am excited to watch it more and more to get everything If you guys notice anything I forgot here please share this post on the social media of your choosing and let us know KCR Entertainment KCR Music kcr literal music video music videos riptide vance joy Music Videos You Should See 2 Mountain At My Gates by Foals April 8 2016 Audrey Atwater Hello again and welcome to Music Videos You Should See I m Audrey and I am here to introduce you to a truly magical experience of a music video A couple weeks ago we explored alt J s music video for their song Breezeblocks This week I am focusing on Mountain At My Gates a song by the band Foals Where last time I looked closely at story telling within a music video this week I will be analyzing the tech behind making Mountain At My Gates First let me guide you through how to watch the video It s not often when one must have a tutorial for viewing a video but Mountain At My Gates is unlike any other music video I ve ever seen In the video above you will notice a round what I like to call thingamabob It has four arrows going in each direction When the video begins it zooms you into this world as if you are a bird Once the image fills the screen and you begin to see the actual band members playing this is where the real fun begins Go up to the thingamabob in the upper left hand corner and click on the arrows Like magic you seemingly move the camera to see more and more of the video You can go in literally every direction and fool around with this video for a long time just watching as the band members move between frames and interact with themselves in a different angle It s pretty awesome This video was filmed using a GoPro Spherical which is a pretty recent GoPro invention that takes video in 360 degrees Using this camera made it possible to create a sort of virtual reality that the video is in I can t imagine how epic it would be to watch this video with a VR headset Okay Now I really want to do that Anyone have one I can borrow for a few minutes KCR Entertainment KCR Music foals gopro gopro spherical mountain at my gates music video music videos virtual reality vr vr headset Music Videos You Should See 1 Breezeblocks by alt J March
