  • Travel Grants.Retirement Association at San Francisco State University
    The deadline for submitting applications is the first Wednesday in April Applicants are notified of the selection results by the third Wednesday in April Grants are awarded the first week of May Selection process Applications are reviewed and award recipients are selected by the Travel Grants Committee which is composed of at least three members of the Retirement Association The award recipient is selected based on the merit of the application Award recipients are selected from as many different units as feasible Grant criteria The proposal should be directly related to the applicant s professional activities e g participation presentation at a conference or workshop summer field work research or attendance at an institute Travel must occur in the calendar year when the grant is awarded Presenting at a conference chairing a session at a conference benefit to students and the University explanation of budget and professional preparation of applicant are all considered in reviewing applications and selecting grant recipients Number of annual grants and dollar amount of grants The number of grants awarded annually and the amount of each award depends on the availability of funds Grants of no more than 500 each are awarded annually The number of
