    Student Services Building Room 208 1600 Holloway Avenue San Francisco CA 94132 SFSU AIDS Coordinating Committee In the Fall of 1985 San Francisco State University established an ad hoc AIDS Task Force that focused primarily on educational programs The Task Force organized the first AIDS Awareness Week within the CSU system In the Spring of 1986 the CSU issued a mandate that directed all campuses to develop committees in order to address the educational needs as well as the personal medical administrative and legal concerns of members of the campus community regarding HIV infection and AIDS As a result of this mandate the SFSU AIDS Coordinating Committee was established in the Fall of 1986 Many of the original Task Force members subsequently became active with the AIDS Coordinating Committee and many new members were recruited to represent concerns of areas not previously represented The SFSU AIDS Coordinating Committee is composed of faculty staff students and administrators who represent a broad cross section of the campus community The ACC meets regularly throughout the academic year The budget is administered through the Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Membership is open to all members of the campus community A Steering
