    OSAP application package How do I apply for OSAP It is strongly recommended that you apply online to OSAP through the OSAP website at osap gov on ca Step 1 Register on the OSAP site If you re a new applicant first you ll need to register to get your OSAP Access Number OAN and to create a password Step 2 Submit your application Detailed information including online application procedures and deadlines for applications is available on the OSAP website at osap gov on ca To apply go to the application website log in with your OSAP Access Number OAN and password choose the right academic year choose the right application full or part time student fill out the application submit the application online It s important to be accurate Any changes you need to make after you submit your application need to be done in person at your school s financial aid office If information is missing or invalid on your OSAP application your application could be put on hold OSAP could ask you to clarify certain information your financial award could be re assessed Step 3 Gather Supporting documents Print your declaration and signature page Sign and date it li Print the declaration and signature page for your parent s and or spouse if they provided information on your OSAP application Have them sign and date it If you re a full time student print your lifetime student loan agreement Then see Step 4 Gather any other supporting documents if needed e g an affidavit Mail or deliver in person the documents except your lifetime student loan agreement to your school s financial aid office Step 4 Print and submit your lifetime student loan agreement The Master Student and Financial Assistance Agreement MSFAA is your lifetime loan agreement with OSAP For first time applicants only complete print and sign the Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement MSFAA Submit your MSFAA to a designated Canada Post outlet Bring your ID proof of SIN card and valid government issued photo ID and a void cheque or record your banking information on your MSFAA This only needs to be done once and will be in place throughout your time as a full time post secondary student When you sign and return your MSFAA to the NSLSC you are agreeing to accept and be responsible for all funding you receive from that date forward The next time you apply for student financial assistance you won t have to sign and submit a new MSFAA some exceptions apply for example if you take a two year break in study Just complete and submit an OSAP application and wait for your Notice of Assessment to come in the mail or online Step 5 Monitor your application You can check the processing status of your OSAP application on the OSAP website osap gov on ca You will need to know your Ontario Access Number OAN as well as your password to access this information It is

    terms or on a co op term 1 Work Study Program The Work Study Program is a part time employment program for students Students can earn up to 1735 50 per term in employment income through this program The eligibility criteria include Full time student at Sheridan 60 of a full course load or 40 of a full course load for students with documented permanent disabilities Demonstrated financial need by receiving OSAP for the term of application by receiving a student loan from another province for the term of application you must provide the notice of assessment from that province or by completing the budget form with the application Maintain good academic standing 2 4 GPA Degree Programs or 2 0 GPA Diploma Certificate Programs Canadian Citizen Permanent Resident or a Protected Person Note For OSAP students all income earned during a school term must be reported to the Financial Aid Office and may impact a student s OSAP funding 2 Sheridan Between Academic Terms BAT Program This is a full time employment program for students who are not currently in an academic term They may be on a co op term or break between terms Students can earn up to 7593 75 in employment income in one semester of the BAT Program based on 37 5 hours week at 13 50 hr for 15 weeks The eligibility criteria include Full time student at Sheridan 60 of a full course load or 40 of a full course load for students with documented permanent disabilities in the term prior to applying for the BAT Program Be out of an academic term Be returning to Sheridan for full time studies the following term Canadian Citizen Permanent Resident or Protected Person Demonstrate financial need Good academic standing 2 4 GPA Degree Programs or 2 0 GPA Diploma Certificate Programs Complete the work study application and submit to the Awards Office once the semester has begun and prior to the deadline date Check the jobs sheridan website to view job postings and apply for employment Students will be notified whether they have been approved or denied for the work study program via their Sheridan email account Students will only be approved for one work study position per term and may not work for multiple employers under the work study programs APPLICATION PACKAGE FURTHER INFORMATION The Work Study application package consists of two parts the work study application and the necessary forms for human resources Please complete and submit the work study application to the Financial Aid and Awards Office starting the first day of classes each semester The deadline to apply is 4 weeks after the first day of classes each semesters The HR forms need to be submitted to your employer HR If a student was work study approved for the fall winter term they do not need to complete the HR forms again unless they require a change They just need to submit the work study application for the spring summer term
