    met by our programs and services Assessment data is typically obtained through on line and written surveys Departments track the number of students participating in events as well as the types and number of events occurring And many departments track demographics of students served to ensure we are reaching the diversity of our students Several departments also participate in benchmark studies in order to compare their results with comparable institutions Included here are department reports which are submitted on an annual basis Departments are asked to identify which learning outcomes were the focus of data collection as well as the type s of assessment methodologies utilized and the results Departments also identify what actions have been taken within the department in response to the findings Findings pertaining to student satisfaction and usage are also included in the annual division assessment report and posted on many of the program and departments websites During the 2013 2014 academic year the Division of Student Affairs selected Applied Knowledge one of the University s learning goals as a priority for building new department and program learning goals and outcomes Continuing with previously deployed assessment efforts Division departments and programs focused specifically on measuring their effectiveness in delivering services activities and programs which stimulated students abilities to apply recently developed skills and competencies gained through these endeavors to new situations Highlights of what students have learned illustrate our continuing commitment to encouraging our students intellectual personal and civic growth in preparation for leadership and contributions to our diverse and rapidly changing world 2013 2014 Division Assessment Reports Student Affairs Division Mapping to National Survey of Student Engagement NSSE Report 2013 2014 Divisional Learning Outcomes Executive Summary 2013 2014 Assessment Report Summaries of the 2013 2014 Learning Outcomes Based Assessment Program Reports 2013 2014 Student Affairs
